    • Thanks OP! Just bought some stuff a month ago. Getting price adjustment right now!

    • Ah well if you're gonna pay the 85 dollars shipping (subjective), may as well make sure the item is 10x the price.

No problem! Did you get a mattress at all? Looking to see if anyone's used IKEA mattresses before.

    • Ikea mattresses are not really much better than the cheap ones on amazon.

I tried ordering a new one last month, they charged my CC right away and never shipped. You can't call, no one ever picks up. I cancelled by email and weeks later still no refund.

Don't waste your time with IKEA right now.

    • I have two orders from mid-March and still have not got any emails past the order confirmation stage.

Don't buy from them unless you plan on waiting 8+ weeks.

    • Is IKEA still 6+ weeks behind with shipping?
    • Yeah. We ordered some slats and they said 6 week minimum for shipping. Thinking about cancelling for now.

    • Really amazing to watch companies pivot and figure things out, like calling in orders, online orders (looking at you Canadian Tire) and curbside pickup, while IKEA is operating like a store from the **** 1990s.

Looking out for their mail order catalogue any day now.

Ugh I could really use a few things but that wait time is just too long.

You would think they could figure out curbside pickup. They already have an online ordering system and pickup spots outside every store. Just slap some numbers on them and you're good to go.

    • Do yourself a favor, don't shop Ikea, their service ( if there is any) is crap presently.

I own an Ikea mattress by the way and.like someone already mentioned, nothing special, better deals on Amazon

I was very hesitant at first...but thought it was worth a shot, since I don't want to go into an actual store to try mattresses at this time anyway. So far, I quite enjoy the mattress (I got the Haugsvär hybrid). It came rolled up and super heavy. The odor from mattress off-gassing is rather unpleasant. But once the "new-mattress" smell is gone, it's quite comfortable.

    • Wife and I have 'used' Ikea mattress for years, and find them very comfortable, long lasting and great value. As with everything at IKEA, the cheapest versions are not as good. I'd also want to test a mattress first, but obviously not possible just now.

My 3 ikea children love their ikea beds too!

    • Good deal for pax wardrobe buyers because that stuff is heavy. But seriously six weeks for delivery come on...

    • I ordered a mattress last week and it was delivered 3 days later, super easy process and I just got money back because of the price guarantee. Also ordered a bedroom set separately (in Mid April) and it was delivered about 10 days later. YMMV with the shipping times because I’ve had an amazing experience.

Mattress we got was HAUGSVÄR in the plush softness. Absolutely love it so far, no complaints and for $339 I don’t think you can do much better. We wanted a hybrid, not an entirely memory foam mattress - mostly because of hotter nights in the summer where memory foam may not cool as well the foam/spring combo.

Ikea thinks closing for a few weeks isn't a big deal to them. Thats why they do shippig only, make the big bucks.

Can you imagine if they did curbside pick up, it would be a gong show. People ordering spoons and forks and wasting employees time. They could avoid that by doing a "min pick up charge" than you have people complaining. So they just close and do big shipping orders.

Don't even get me started about Canadian Tire. They can't figure anything out. Look at the pricing, they are still stuck in perpetual 80% off luggage sales and the stores look like BiWay.

    • Dont know how you guys are having such trouble with Ikea shipping right now. Bought a new bed and bedroom things last Sunday (Apr 26) and it was delivered to me the next day by 2pm. Currently trying to get a price adjustment for the bed we bought but otherwise it has been good.

    • Thanks OP but shipping charges is what kills this deal when you actually have a IKEA in your city and they don't do pick up.
