    • Christmas greenery as well. Live Christmas trees too, though they hadn't updated the signage yet.

(Edit) Pet peeve: why don't most stands have a screw or support at the bottom of the trunk too? Having it 6" from the very bottom creates a pivot point, allowing it to tip easier. I always have to shove some small pieces of wood cut offs at the bottom. I'm on my 3rd tree stand after trying out different ones over the years. And two years ago I had a tree fall in the middle of the night. 🫣

I have similar stand to red steel one in your photos - it has flat metal cross with 2 screw holes that you attach to the bottom of the teee. It is exact size of plastic bucket inside the stand so basically zero movement. Plus the 4 regular screws.

    • You took a picture of it. $44. Last photo in the 2nd photo post.
Oh, I get it now. The red grill thing gets screwed into the base. Keeping it from sliding around since it will fill the whole bottom of the stand. Ok, that makes sense now.

    • Ya, that's something that would be useful. Wish they showed photos though in both the product descriptions for that part.

    • With this type the tree is secured on the bottom as well; Two screws from the round base into the bottom of the tree, so the bottom can't move. Then the 4 screws hold it in place.
Yeah, It's the US website, but you can also find them there. Grab a two stainless steel screws from hardware and you won't have to worry about rusted screws for the bottom. We got ours over 15 years ago.

    • I got Santa’s last stand for $2 last year clearance after Boxing Day ( haven’t used it yet)
I am currently using the Omega Stand last year and this year.
Also see this clearance pricing starting couple weeks ago in several HD’s.
The markdowns are still too low to bother thought
I'm sure it's YMMV on clearance times. Mine in Ontario just started Thursday. I was there on Wed, no clearance. On Friday, I went again, and they said they just started the day before.
Never had this problem…. You sure it isn’t your cat or something?

With those eye bolts I really torque them down and even use a screwdriver or anything as leverage through the eye to pierce right into the tree.
No cat. No dog. Tree was just not balanced well. I do tighten them well. Problem is when you tighten too tight, and the opposing sides don't match exactly right, it creates a twisting force on the base of the trunk. Had I also weighted the base, I could have had it tip a bit and not fall over. As a kid, we used to put bricks on the base to hold any minor tipping.

    • Which Home Depot are the pictures from?
The Home Depots here in Brampton are doing the same clearance. I went in yesterday to PM the Dewalt 20V Chainsaw...ended up spending an extra $120 on Christmas stuff lol

      Decent deals.
