    • I did a search and couldn't find a post so there it is:

I just saw IKEA Family at the Coquitlam location. Free coffee and 90-day return period did work.

Even took advantage of one of the IKEA Family offers.

      Good luck!

Thanks for the tip. I will have to remember to do so prior to making purchases.

    • Not sure about other IKEA but for IKEA Ottawa, you now need to have the card with you to scan and get points.

I use an app called Key Ring to store numbers of infrequently-used cards to lighten my wallet and IKEA Family Card # is in there. I used to be able to simply punch the # in prior to my purchases but this is no longer the case.

You could still bring the card and receipts back to get the points but you have to remember to do so.

    • I must of had at least 100 free coffees in last year since family-card intro at Etobicoke...it is good on weekends also.
Amazing coffee there....way better than Tims,Macs and that godawful swill at Starpukes.
Correct, it WAS good on weekends.

Not sure about now...depending on your location.

    • Anyone have issues signing up?

I tried to sign up and it says my email is already registered... Tried to use the "forgot password" option but the secret question is blank.. Then tried the option to enter my email and postal code and that's wrong as well. Got them to email me my postal code, and it gave me something i'm not even familiar with but I tried it anyways and it's incorrect.. ?!?!?

Doesn't seem like there's any way to contact them neither except for their generic feedback form.. so I gave up..
      Same exact experience just now!

    • off-topic, but at IKEA Burlington at least, the Restaurant is licensed and sells alcohol: choice of 2 beers (stella artois and something else) and choice of 1 red or 1 white to go with your meal :-0

    • Maybe that was on the weekend? That's only Monday to Friday.
      +1

It's listed right on IKEA Family's webpage that free coffee is only M-F (used to be weekends as well when the program started). The locations I go to, they also have free coffee for the first 1/2 hour of each day for everyone, not just IKEA Family members on weekdays.

    • Don't shop at the Coquitlam Ikea while Richmond is on strike!
Personally on this dispute I support IKEA rather than the union.

On the topic of IKEA family though, it seemed as though IKEA was selling high-vis vests in their IKEA family there for about $3 when I was cruising through (IKEA family membership required else it was $5 - I didn't have the time to sign up). Can't seem to find the item in question back on their website though now that I'm home.

That's weird, since that is a fundamental part of the program. I would contact head office over that one...

Showed mine at Wpg Ikea, they didn't charge me or my wife for our coffee!

    • The only thing I'd want is an extra % discount on the as-is corner items. That place is like crack for the DIY crowd !!
Are you saying they offer this, or you'd like to see this?
Just curious as I don't see anything about this on the family website.
