    • Can't vouch for the DC34 model, but I bought the refurb DC35 model last month when it was posted here on RedFlags for $209 and it is a really great vacuum. Makes cleaning stairs a breeze.

    • I tested the coupon code last night and again this morning and I'm not having any problems adding the coupon code and getting the kit added to my order -- let me know if you're still having trouble.

    • Thanks OP, I've always wanted a DC34 to clean the car without lugging my home unit outside.

    • I don't seem to be able to add the kit to the cart. I can't add the kit to basket from the parts&accessory area either (OOS?). Maybe it's area specific?

I don't try to add the kit to my cart -- I add the code and then the kit appears.

Yeah I'd say it's overrated too. I don't have one but my boss brought hers to the office one day and yeah the run time is really short and it's unimpressive overall. She didn't think it was that great either, but apparently her husband thought it was a great idea, lol.

    • Don't know what model you're referring to, but the DC35 battery life is great, IMO. Especially like how you have to hold the button down to use it. I could see people not liking that, but you get the maximum use out of a single charge that way.
I've used it on 4 sets of stairs, the floors of multiple rooms, 3 ceiling fans and other smaller areas in a single use and it was still going strong(of course I had to stop to empty the canister a couple times due to it's size). This was on MAX setting too. I've yet to run out of a charge while using it and that's WITH the motorized floor tool that supposedly uses more of the battery.

We also own a DC33 model, but lately this little handheld has been getting a lot more use. I think it's fantastic around the house.

I was still deciding and now oos. I wonder if they will restock as well but I'm guessing they won't (at least not immediately, unless they have a whole bunch of units that haven't been checked or certified yet for refurbished sales).

    • Managed to save another $3.00 off the price of the DC34 Animal.

I went through Great Canadian Rebate site, then pasted the last part of the link provided by the original poster to arrive at the refurb DC34 Animal. A $3 kick back has just appeared in my GCR account.

      Thanks OP
