    • How well does this thing do hot chocolate and tea? Ice tea? Lemonade?

In my experience with other Keurigs, I don't like tea or hot chocolate pods. For tea, there is just not enough time for the tea to steep. For hot chocolate, I just prefer fresh milk and good cocoa powder, instead of whatever they put in the pods.

No, those were Keurig 2.0 machines and they don't make them anymore. But this punctures 5 holes on top instead of one. And thus also uses a new reusable k cup design (included) if you don't use pods.

    • My 2.0 even hacked doesn't go as hot as I would like. Have they made the machines able to go hotter now?

Even though this machine has 3 temp settings, from reading reviews, people still complain the coffee is not hot enough. 😔. I usually run one cup without coffee to warm up my cup. Then another with the coffee, seems to help a bit.

I have noticed the following, when i power up it heats up, then , when I select a cup size (medium) the thing sucks up some water (from ambient reservoir , obviously) and starts to dispense. So before it starts to dispense , I press power off.
Now, when you power up , it heats the volume up properly and doesn't suck any more water because the cup selection volume is already detected. Not that I can taste any difference, but just sharing some observations 😃

Can you do 10oz then 4oz with extra coffee in the reusable? :)

Yeah, I used to do that, but it's nice to have the option to do with one button press/cycle.

    • The container is a whole puny 3oz more than the Elite. When are they going to have a half decent reservoir that doesn't need to be filled every day. That's my biggest pet peave with these machines.

Is it the offset water tank? It works ok if your power plug is behind the coffee (right) part.

Agree. On 2 lower models, the water tank position is adjustable to left, right or back. Not sure why they didn't do that on their top model.

    • Thank you OP!

Just purchased this at the store last Friday as a gift for someone.

Went back to Costco and they refunded me the $56.50 ($50 + 13% tax)! 😁😁
