    • We purchased the pro series for $299 during cyber Monday...not sure which is better but the pro one looks a little nicer IMO...

    • For sure the pro 600 was a better deal. Deal was from thebay and bestbuy. I would say just wait for another deal if you're not in a hurry.

    • The pro seems to get steeper discounts than the Artisan, however, there are people who don't want the pro because of its size.

    • I got the pro and wondered if I should've bought the smaller one instead but I'm glad I got the big bowl. Even making cheesecake, I was worried stuff was going to fly out of the bowl!

    • This is exactly what I've been waiting for. Couldn't justify paying more for artisan when pro went on that sale. But for the same price I will take artisan all day. Much better for family size pastries.

    • I'm glad I decided to go with empire red on all my countertop appliances. Looks sharp and that colour always seems to be cheaper than the rest when pricing out KitchenAid products. $250 isn't bad after rebate. I'm debating buying now or waiting to see what boxing day has in store. Hmmm

    • Bed bath and beyond have the artisan for 500. -20% coupon which you can find. So it's 400 and then BBB have a $100 rebate on it via their rebate form so same 299-300 but lots of colors to chose from. KitchenAid rebate is $50 but the one BBB is giving out that is tied to them I suppose is for $100 rebate.

Another choice to go if you need another color or brick and mortar store pickup.

I tried the 20% off with the $100 rebate and all that jazz from BBB but the 20% off is in store only which had pretty poor stock levels. And even online a lot is out of stock. They had the Artisan designer series on sale for $420 which I tried to get but you guessed it, out of stock. I also couldn't find out how the $100 rebate works, you click it and it just goes to the 20% off form.

$349.99 is the lowest price according to CCC for some less common colours. Apply the KitchenAid Holiday rebate for an additional $50 bringing it to $299.99.
      Rebate: http://www.kitchenaid.ca/en_CA/2_2_904/ ... ntent.html
Where on the KitchenAid rebates website does it state you get a $50 rebate for the Artisan Stand Mixer? And how do I know which colours are eligible for the rebate?

    • As was mentioned, the empire red is $50 cheaper, bringing it to $250 after rebate! Not bad...

Also as mentioned in another thread, Canadian tire has 2-3 colours on clearance for $325, check your local CT, YMMV

here is the link to the bbb rebate form, online submission which mentions scan/copy upc code vs cutting it out
      https://s7d9.scene7.com/is/content/BedB ... er1217.pdf
      or
      https://www.bedbathrebates.com/#
then bottom has a link to current rebate form as well.
If the online entry method only requires a scan/copy of receipt and upc. Since bbb can track their own purchase/till records. I wonder if this leaves a double dip opportunity since you then send the cutout upc and receipt to kitchenaid for $50? For the unscrupulous anyway ;P

    • There's at least a mini for 307$. Those are nice if you're not a professional chef using these every day and space is at a premium...

The main differences I know about is the glass bowl and metallic attachments.

I'm hoping the Designer also comes with the glass bowl lid. It's not listed on Amazon, but the glass bowl comes with a lid if you buy it on it's own.

Also, the Designer Series does not come with the pouring shield, where the regular does.

    • According to the Kitchenaid rebate form, it's for the KSM150 model but the amazon link shows it as KSM155GB. Not sure if the MIR applies?
