    • Also it looks like they have 11x16" 100 cout pre-cut bags for $30.99 (after a $5 coupon you can clip).

Never used this brand before, but going to give them a try.

Edit: Anyone used these before AND tried the Ronegye brand ones you can find on amazon? How do they compare? I've purchased the Ronegye bags and found them to be very good.

    • I bought this brand and it's good.
I think I bought the combo bags for $33.

    • Thanks, ordered the starter kit, been wanting to jump on one of these for awhile.

Appreciate feedback on recommended bags to get, beyond the starter kit. I mainly want to use this to better freeze meat for BBQ'ing, grabbing it when it goes on sale....or bulk buying from Costco. I haven't jumped on Sous Vide yet.

    • The quality of bags or roll from this brand is good, but no comment on the machine. They are thicker than the majority of other brands. I post the deal last year a few times for both bags and rolls, but they were sold by another sellers and was cheaper. You can check Keepa to find the lowest price from the past lightning deal. One important point is that it would be better your sealer has the dry/wet option if you want to deal wet food. The main reason is that the bag is thicker and it may take a little bit more times during the sealing stage and the wet option supposes to do this for you. If you don't have the wet option, try to use something (such as paper towel) to absorb the moisture around the seal area. This will improve the success rate of sealing too.

It's actually cheaper now thanks to the extra 8% cashback offered on ebates.ca

    • I used both, and find the freshlocker bags to be better so far (in the smaller 8'' bags)
Out of 100 the Ronegye had maybe 5-6 seal fail on my foodsaver, and out of 50 freshlocker, 0 so far. They feel closer in quality to the actual foodsaver bags imo, but that is mostly subjective.

    • Thanks bought some bags for FoodSaver.

    • It was actually cheaper because the assorted one (8'' and 11'') was only $15.99. If you catch the lightning deal on both times and it only cost you $31.98, so it is equivalent to buy one set of 8" and 11" which is now cost $42.98. Anyways, the lightning deal was from another seller and there is no time machine. Buy it now if you think the product is good value for the money.

Thanks for the info. It's good to know how it compares. Just wish these guys also sold the pre-cut ones in 8x12" as well.

    • They do sell the pre-cut one and I bought them last time from the lightning deal with a crazy good price. However, it was only on the lightning deal once and the 8" one is sold one now. I bought the 100pcs 11"x16" and 100pcs 8"x12" for only $34.38. Again the precut bag was sold by another seller. That seller has its own brand now with the same quality, that's why he tried to clear out the Freshlocker.

Haven't bought this brand, but I can share the sentiments about the other brand. Quite a few bags failed for me too. Always had a sneaking suspicion that it was the bags... Something didn't feel right.

    • Great bags. Switched from Food Savers to these and have found no problem.

    • There are two types of failure happened to me from using those thinner bag (3 mil). The first type is the sealing problem which happened from time to time and I believe everyone has different experience about this. The second problem is the bag is too thin and cannot sustain the inside pressure if you have an item with sharp edges or points. I tried to use a 3 mil bag to seal a dog treat with lots of sharp edges. The sealing process went fine, but after about a week, the vacuum was completely lost. The problem is not from the sealing since the seal remained intact. The sharp edge actually cut through the bag by the pressure inside the bag. Then I try to use the freshlocker bag and the vacuum still maintain(after 2 months), so if your meat has sharp bone and lost the vacuum very frequently, then try to use this 4 mil freshlocker bag may solve the problem.
