    • Looks like it could be used with any impact driver. I've never seen one of these - does it work well? How does it compare in cutting ability to a big pair of manual shears?

Seems like a good price, but I can't think what else I would use it for besides metal cutting. I don't do much of that, and I already have a big pair of manual shears and an M12 Fuel Hackzall for cutting heavier pieces.

    • Would this be a good cutter for vinyl flooring? I just bought the thick lifeproof stuff from home depot and it looks like it will be a pain to cut with a utility knife.

I've seen the guys that came to replace my HVAC system use a similar attachment.
Works like a charm! Cuts ducts with an elegant effortlessness :-)

It's supposed to be good also for corrugated metal, steel mesh, etc.
When cutting heavier-duty stuff, I expect it to make life much easier than when you use manual shears or tin snips.

I have laid some luxury vinyl at home too, and all I needed was just to score the planks and then snap them along the cut - you don't really need to cut them all the way through.
But that being said, I expect this attachment to be perfectly capable of cutting vinyl too.

    • Good timing. I've been thinking of getting something like this for cutting asphalt shingles as a utility knife just doesn't "cut it" in some aspects of that job. Thanks OP

    • Thanks OP and 20%off commentor.

Hope this works with my Bosch impact drivers. Looks like the part that goes up against bottom of impact is adjustable?

    • Would this work for tree branches or just sheet metal and similar.

    • Price is very attractive, but I really doubt one single mounting arm can hold the tool firmly while cutting. I suspect lots of force will go inside the chuck of the drive/drill in this case. If you look the Malco Turbo Shears, they have two arm balance the tool, so the holding force will be outside the drive/drill. Also, reviews shows only attaching to the impact drive, not on the drill. I believe you may have hard time attaching to the drill if you don't have impact drive. I hope Dewalt to re-engineer this tool a little bit. Waiting to see next version.
