    • Your argument is not dissimilar to saying I can cook my steak/hamburger/chicken in a frying pan inside so why do I need a grill...and yet you have a grill.

You don't know what you're missing until you've tried this PC or Ooni pizza oven. I waited for the price to come down before I bought this [couldn't justify $400+ for Ooni]. I've used mine 16 times [spring 2022/summer/fall].

Making Pizza outside in a 700F+ oven is far different from making it in the home oven or a grill. Sub 2min vs 10-15min The pizza is very different too - can't really make neopolitan style in home oven.
Shaping pizza outside means less mess inside - flour goes all over the place.
Also I don't turn on my inside oven to 500F in the summer.

Winter is when I do Cast Iron Pan Pizza in my oven.
I agree 100% with you. Nailed every point. I do make pizzas from scratch and you are right.

    • Agree with you that may be a good deal, but do you need an extra oven for pizzas. Your regular oven it's not hot enough.

I personally use my grill to bake pizzas but oven is good enough too if it hits 500.

There's the PC pizza oven on sale for $249 and you get 50,000 points with purchase. Add another $50 and get 25,000 points.

Not junk, not over inflated. It's a good deal.

    • Not to be party pooper but when they want to hike the regular price, it’s best to have a big sale and then end the sale to new prices so that you wouldnt noticed.

And when you question, they’ll tell you the previous price was a sale price.
Meh not like most of us don’t know bout that but that’s for the info lol

    • I didnt like this point event. It's either junk food with points or some items over inflated and getting back points. My app didn't give me many options either.

No wonder they had record earnings.

    • Anyone ever get duplicate product offer?

I get "200 point for brocoli" twice this week.

Is this bug or will I really get 400 point for brocoli?
Galen wants to ensure you eat your greens!

    • Any cheap cellphone or tablets that are good to get?
No cellphones or tablets were advertised in the upcoming flyer. You will have to go to the customer service desk at your local RCSS to find out

    • Do redeeming points still get you the bonus offer at RCSS? i.e. will I get 125k back from redeeming 500k points?
Based on my experience, as long as you pay some amount, you get the point, At such times I try and limit the points redemption to about 1/3 of the total bill.

    • That oil offer looks good, assuming Galen doesn't raise prices tomorrow. I have a 1400pts for $7 No Name oil offer on my account so combined with the flyer offer, I can get 3L of Canola Oil for $7.12 if I buy 3 containers. Best price I've seen in forever.

    • I saw some people take the foods in this offer as "junk" while some other take it as "essential", for me, the key is how much you eat them.

Like most fast foods, if I ate them occantionally when I'm hungry and in a rush, I won't call them "junk food", while if I ate them as my daily meals, yes, most of fast foods is "junk food".

    • Have never been impressed by these points day offers. Most of the time Freshco and foodbasics will just discount the price over inflating and then giving back points. switched to foodbasics over from no frills and price difference is visible. Except ofr the Esso 2k points offer, none of them were useful to me.

    • I wouldn't call this an extension, as I don't think this weeks offers are extended. It'd be great if they were, but not finding any proof that they are. So I would call it a second round of points days

What do you expect? Points Days on turnips?
It might be junk food but it's junk food at an unbeatable price.
Especially since it's STACK GALORE with 20 X the points AND personal offers.

Maybe your account didn't get the Points Days offers.
One of my accounts didn't get any and last week and I don't know why.

      *shrug*

My wife did our weekly grocery run yesterday at RCSS. 100k points back on a $300 bill. She didn't buy anything that we don't normally buy (it was all on the list), none of it was junk, and everything that she bought was net (after points) less than we normally pay.

Don’t overlook the junk food. The junk food pays! With manufacturer coupons, sale prices, and points back—it’s potential moneymaker. I totally understand it’s not worth the time or math for a lot of people though. I personally don’t eat a lot of the stuff being marketed but if it’s an easy breakeven/MM, I donate the items to the onsite food bank bins near checkout or if it’s perishable, I bring them home and post giveaway on my local neighbourhood FB group.

I haven't ever been able to load the email offers, just the in-app ones. Clicking the load button in the email brings up the app, which gives a generic error and nothing happens... so frustrating!
