There's no benefit to me to pay a premium for Omega 3 eggs. I would be donating a buck a dozen to help cover their marketing costs. There are better sources of Omega 3's.

You should see this:
They’ll PM Walmart which is much further away than the closest Loblaws. At this point they do whatever is most convenient for them, but advertise it otherwise.
It's also frustrating for deal hunting. I thought 2.99 for a dozen at shoppers this weekend was a good deal. We just have to accept we can't always get the best deals for groceries im afraid. Not worth agonizing over, just try to find good deals each week.
Good deal. Time to stock up a few cartons.
The prices also go from store-to-store each week as some sort of tease. Hey, milk is at Metro this week for $3.99, next week it is at Loblaws, the following week at No Frills. Price-matching works for a few chains, but not all. Sobeys has Natrel Milk at $3.99 starting tomorrow, but No Frills does not, etc. Same thing with eggs. When eggs were on sale at the Superstore the inventories were sold out immediately, taking two weeks to replenish. Oh yeah, if you need eggs there are tons of medium-sized brown eggs over there to purchase!
If eggs and milk are considered staples, perhaps it is time to eliminate the marketing boards and bring in some old-fashioned competition. Personally, I am getting sick and tired of roller-coaster pricing, inventory problems, and mis-matched price-matching policies. This will not end soon. Wait for Metro to sell one dozen eggs for $2.39 next week and the cycle continue...
Sorry for the rant...I have been thinking about this for months...
