    • I've been unable to use the prepaid Visa cards from the last Kellogg promotion;

After being turned down in a dozen establishments, I just gave up. I still have the cards and the codes - anyone who had success redeeming these, please share the store information?

      TYSM!

I had the same problem and just ended up using them to buy Amazon gift cards.

I've never had a problem... And I have used it at Metro, Food Basics and Freshco. If I am buying something small I just say that it's a Visa and swipe the card. Never had an issue. Which reminds me I have a few that will be expiring this month from the last promo.

I bought some of the family size cereal recently when there was a points promo on. I know it says if you already bought the cereal hang onto the receipt.. wonder if they will give it to me (since the terms and conditions actually say purchased after February 18th)

Add card to Amazon account, and add credit to account.

That's what I pretty much do with all these $5 promotional cards, and you'll be surprised how fast you account balance grows.

Or you can buy games online...

Hi, you have to let the merchant know that there is only $5 on the card and they need to split the payment. If you try to put a charge greater than $5 on these prepaids, the card will be rejected.

If you spend less than $5, you will need to remember the balance and only charge whatever is left to the card. These prepaids are a real pain in behind to use, but once you figure it out, you will get used to it.

      True!

Still easier just to add funds to your online wallet in whatever account you can.

Weird how the website says this, but the terms and conditions say otherwise.

It's likely because the marked boxes are already in the stores - I saw them on the weekend.

I found success in any online store where I am allowed to pick the amount to pay - Amazon (for the balance on your account), utility companies, internet provider, etc. I tried at Lowes once (the first time) and had the same issues you did (even telling them it's only $5). That's when I switched to doing either Amazon or one of the utility companies.

i purchased two boxes of Kellogg's cereal this morning at Loblaws and then did the $5 dollar online verification for the grocery cash for the prepaid card. The online verification only asked for a picture of the receipt and not any info from the boxes. The receipt shows the UPC code for the cereal. While my boxes were specially marked with the $5 promotion i sense that as long as the UPC code matches it will work if the cereal boxes are not specially marked. Perhaps we should share the UPC Codes?

The UPC Codes that worked were
      64100 10804 for Raisin Bran 755g
      64100 10821 for Frosted Flakes 650 g

    • Most of the grocery stores allow "partial payments" ... Not sure why it would be an issue.

      Also, drop $5 towards a bill - that's allowed.
Or, as mentioned, gift card like Amazon or something you can load into your account (Starbucks, Tim Hortons)

I never had any trouble using them (with one exception trying to pay a fine at the library) and I had alot of them. Used them mainly in grocery stores. Metro, Loblaws, No Frills, Dollarama, etc... Most times using self-checkout but used them at a cashier here and there.

FYI, the cards do expire, so check the date on them and try to use them ASAP!

      $4.99 is the sale price.
$3.99 / 3.77 would be harder to find (1 or 2 during the entire length of the promotion).

Issue would be finding the marked boxes (hard) but with their redemption process (just a receipt) who knows how much truth there is to that.

Remember, these are the "Family Size" boxes so the prices are a little higher.
