    • Does anyone know the price of Organic Milk (4L) by any chance? Is it cheaper than Superstore at $9.99?
      It’s around $8.79.

    • A bit off-topic, but just fyi compared to last week...

The 4 pack merino wool socks went up from 18.99 to 19.99.
The car jump start kit went up from 99.99 to 109.99.

There's probably others, but I havent really been tracking other items.

    • Ummm, NO! Sorry but that's such an idiotic thing to suggest just because you think they don't do their job properly. Who cares if they don't check the card properly or why they're checking? Why is it your concern that you have to "grill" an employee. And more importantly, why should I be inconvenienced by being forced to get a costco MC to use the self-checkout because CUSTOMERS like you have an issue with why and how they check membership cards?

I've yet to have my card checked.
Wow, that was a whole lot of stupid you put out there.
Digging for an answer about why someone is demanding my ID is legit. The fact that they do a sh*t job of identifying people makes it even more annoying. Stop annoying me.

My suggestion is 100% reasonable. If you want to use the self-checkout it only takes the Costco Mastercard. If you wish to use other payments please use one of the many open checkout lines.

You want me to be OK with annoying, rude, sloppy and random ID checks for no given reason yet you whine "why should I be inconvenienced by being forced to get a costco MC "

    • I agree that is is to ensure that people are not sharing cards, i grilled another employee.

I agree that if that is the purpose then they should be doing it right.

I think the problem is the want to avoid looking like the police checking IDs. They probably need some new tech or start making all self checkout purchases to be on the costco mastercard only.

    • I don't get why they are checking memberships at self-checkout. I just had to show that I had one they didn't check the photo to make sure that it was mine. I asked why they were checking and the CSR said that some people were missing their membership card. It makes no sense to check for that reason because you can't buy anything without scanning your membership card. Either she was confused/lying about the reason or she was supposed to verify that people weren't lending their cards to others but didn't bother to.
same logic goes for some warehouses that check membership at entrance. like, why??? if i dont have one, then i cant buy anything, why would i waste my time walking around then? someone please explain this to me!

    • They taste horrible. The flavoring taste like just soy sauce. The noodles smell like old used oil.
My negative review on Costco was also somehow removed 🤔
I would agree - we have a costco shopping discussion where sometimes items like these are reviewed or recommended: https://forums.redflagdeals.com/costco- ... on-2420583

    • Any feedback/reviews on the A-SHA Noodles?

      I typically buy the Nongshim Tonkotsu Ramen, 6 x 101 g

The A-SHA noodles are just the noodles and flavoring (no broth)

Curious if anyone has tried them and how they taste.

    • Thank you, Costco to target only New members with promotion on a booklet for already members.

Why are all these companies crazy about "new client acquisition" and after that they are dropping you?

I need to renew my membership and I can't see any deals about that....(opening wallet...crying)

    • I'm interested in the Shark vacuum, and have a $50 promo voucher that expires today. If I buy it today with the voucher, is there any reason I wouldn't be able to do a price adjustment tomorrow in order to stack the deals (I'm assuming it will also be on sale online, because it has been in the past)?

It's the only reason that I can think of that makes any sense. I'm sure that the cashiers at the other checkouts are supposed to check the photo when they scan your card but I think most didn't bother, maybe they do now.
They won't upset people by making the self-checkout Costco MC only.
Lazy employee, going through the motions.
Yes, and she lied about the reason Costco is doing it. A bad lie that made no sense. It's reminded me of when I asked the person at the exit checking receipts why Costco had them do it and they would make up something and never say it was for loss prevention. Tell me the reason, don't lie to me.

    • Looks like you found your answer, but yeah, some accessories don't work with this model. I considered buying the little 8oz blender bowl things because they were on sale on Amazon for $20 a while ago (retail is $50). They're made for the Ascent series but supposedly they will work with the personal cup adapter on the E320. I didn't end up getting them because I wouldn't get much use out of them, they're quite small.

As for the price, I don't know what's going on with the online price, but I've only ever seen it priced at $500 in the warehouse unless it goes on sale.
Hmm. Their link points to USA Costco site hence difference in pricing

Oh ok. I was wondering what they were trying to do. I wasn't at self check but there were two people at the end who kept on saying that they needed to verify my card. I thought they were those ppl that want you to open a credit card or upgrade the tier but I did get a different vibe from them. I told them I had no time and they were like, we will have to check your card next time you come back. Lol

Does anyone know what they actually check though?
My card is under my name but I'm a secondary user on my moms account and I don't live there anymore. Are they checking just the names? Or full on personal info like the addresses?

      Does it work?

      http://www.tirepromotions.ca/en/TireLink

$130 from Costco and another $100 from manufacturer.
Probably the same with all other tire manufacturers but the Michelin coupon specifically says that it does not apply to tires purchased from Costco.

    • I never got the booklet in my monthly Costco magazine this month… I usually do.
The clerk says you need the printed coupon now unless you inform them you don’t have it with you. They will just scan in as regular price even if you are executive.
I'm not sure if you are referring to these coupons or the executive ones. These coupons have come off the price automatically for a few years now whereas the executive ones still have to been shown to the cashier or at least you have to tell the cashier and they will scan their copy.

    • I believe that because they are also checking memberships at self checkout and last year they started telling me i needed my physical receipt for prive protection.

This past year has been the first time i am seeing Costco struggle to implement purchasing controls. What is going on with them?

    • Is Costco usually pretty strict on their price protection - listed on the website as 30 days? I know they accept returns for a very long time... I was waiting for that Shark vacuum to go on sale and a $40 discount is quite nice. I guess if they don't accept a price match I could just re-buy and return the unopened with the original receipt?
A tip for price adjustment in costco: buy the discounted item, return it on the same day, because the purchase is not updated in costco returning system (take 24 hours), you actually return the discounted item but get the original price back. No receipt needed, as long as you are using the same card for the purchase.
