get this deal

Keep your eyes peeled for candy on your grocery runs, because Collect and Get is back for 2018 and you can get a free Cineplex movie ticket when you purchase five packages of specially-marked candy!

The promotion officially starts on June 18, but specially-marked candies have been spotted in the wild already. We've listed this year's lineup of eligible candy below -- look for a Cineplex banner on the packaging to identify them in-store.

  • M&M's - 120g, 200g or 400g packages
  • Skittles Original, Berry or Tropical - 191g packages
  • Skittles Sour - 151g packages
  • Snickers Bites - 130g or 230g packages
  • Starburst Original - 191g packages
  • TWIX Bites - 130g or 230g packages

Simply buy five packages of any qualifying candy, then upload your receipt (with all five in the same transaction) to the promotional page. Once complete, you'll receive a Cineplex promo code redeemable for a general admission ticket!

Prices will vary depending on the store and most products are available online at stores like Walmart.ca, but we advise shopping in-store since eligible products must have the promotion printed on the packaging.

This offer is effective until December 31 and all Cineplex ticket codes must be used by January 31, 2019. Specially-marked products are only available for a limited time and there's a limit of four Cineplex ticket codes per household.

    • These Collect and Get promos that Cineplex offers seem to get worse and worse every year. I'm still hoping they bring back the "free movie" ticket they had a couple of years ago on Nestea 12 pack can boxes but I doubt those will be back.

Offer is not as good as last time. 5 packs for 1 movie ticket. Also, no PINs inside the packages. The instructions say to upload a photo of the receipt and products to redeem starting June 18, 2018.
Isn't this pretty much the same considering you had to buy 10 packs for 2 tickets?

Also the new instructions seem beneficial since you don't have to open every package now and place them into a zip lock to get the codes.

I'm not sure about the most recent promo, but it used to be 8 packs for 2 tickets.

    • A deal is still a deal. Subscribed.

    • I purchased 10 on one receipt but in hindsight, I should've bought 5 per receipt just in case redemption gets confusing.

    • Eat the M&M's or donate it to the food bank. Returning it just gets it thrown in the garbage, and Walmart eats the loss.

    • Likely passing, cheapest entry point is likely $2 a pack, plus taxes, that's $10+ for a movie ticket.

      Naaaaaaah, I'm good.

(You need to be aware of previous years where it wasn't this expensive to participate in this deal. Yes, it's something for nothing, but I can still make the comparison. I bet you they will sell far less this year.)

And as usual probably won’t be on the regular packages of chocolate only the peanut

If your planning to go to the movies regardless, free snacks to bring in is free snacks if your not using some other promo.

    • Is the cheapest place to get these the dollar store? Or Wal-Mart?
