    • Break out the mahjong party at IKEA...free HOT beverages on tap! LOL

We'll see how long this lasts as they used to have this and then they discontinued it, now they're bringing it back.

Yep. Now the people that camp out there, for hours, using their free WiFi, can go anytime of the day and get free coffee and refills.

    • Free coffee should not be a financial burden for IKEA. Compared to marketing and advertising expenses, it is nothing to give free coffee to their clients. At all, IKEA is far away from my location... Better to make my own coffee at home.😃

I don't think this is just for September. It just begins in September.

That's how I interpreted it too.

    • They probably realized they should not have stopped it to begin with. It's such a low cost initiative but brings in a surprising amount of people.

Yep. and when you're tired of the hard chairs or perhaps some kid running around making too much noise, move you butt to a sofa in the store, setup your tablet and enjoy Netflix in cool air conditioned space.

You bring up a good point. If they simply state "hot beverage" does that include soup in a cup? And does it still include refills? 😉

I guess in that case you probably would like to define "hot beverage" yourself 😉

That's what I used to do in Roller Coaster Tycoon. Free Drinks but charge to use the Washroom. Also I would have a free ride which took them to an island and the only way out would be to take an expensive ride out.

    • Does each family member need a card? This would actually encourage me to go to Ikea. We normally go there around coffee time to browse. Get more feet in the door.

Not a lot of details yet, but I would think so. It would be a surprise to me if you could get a bevy for a whole group on one card.
