this offer is expired

Plan your next vacation and book the flight with Air Canada, because you can get up to a $150.00 statement credit when you pay using Masterpass!

Simply find your preferred flight and choose Masterpass during the payment process to qualify for the credit. Your eligible credit will depend on the booking type and we've listed the qualifications below.

  • $50.00 statement credit when you book Economy Class
  • $150.00 statement credit when you book Premium Economy Class, Premium Rouge, North America Business Class or Air Canada Signature Class

Masterpass is Mastercard's digital wallet platform and a MasterCard is not required to use the service -- American Express and Visa cards are also accepted!

There are some restrictions, as flights must originate in Canada to qualify and Air Canada employee travel tickets, free tickets, infant tickets or Flight Pass purchases are not eligible.

This offer is available until November 28 or until all available credits have been redeemed. There's a limit of one statement credit per booking and the credit itself will be posted to the card associated with the Masterpass account within two statement cycles.

    • Nice find! Why do I feel like we’ve had this before? Assuming we’re all eligible again.

There was a promo last year for an AirCanada GC $60 with MasterPass. This is nice!

    • If we book one way to an each do we get 50 off each transaction?

"Only one (1) statement credit of $50 CAD will be awarded per booking when using Masterpass on aircanada.com"

Didn't say one time credit, just one per each transaction.... But as long it originated from Canada.

Probably cost more than $50 to book two one way trips than a round trip, in most cases at least

International yes, but domestic flights cost the same as 2 one-way.

    • Would this work with the 10% off Air Canada gift cards thread? Or MasterPass means I can only pay with MasterCard?

    • Wondering if you still get the benefits from the credit card such as flight delay insurance etc.

    • FYI, paying with Masterpass not necessary means paying with MasterCard.... you can link up your other cards to your Masterpass... I just paid with my AMEX through Masterpass.

I think you still get the credit card benefits. If I recall correctly, on the email confirmation, when I used Masterpass, it didn't state Masterpass, it just showed the last 4 digits of credit card.

    • Any other promo codes for Air Canada? I remember one time my IFE didn't work for a transcon and Air Canada gave me a 5% discount on future flights lol...such a joke. Airlines in Canada suck when it comes to the miles/points game

    • I would book a refundable flight and cancel it after receiving the $50 statement credit, but it doesn't seem to be worth my time.

I've never seen that. It may have been true years ago, but definitely not today.

    • Booked separate tickets for my spouse and I; used the same Masterpass account for each. Now, wait and see if I get anything.

I didn't know that. Always thought it is only able to link Mastercard. Thanks.
