    • Thanks OP!

I was feeling salty over the weekend that Ikea raised their $1 frozen cones to $2. Their reason was the increased costs of diary but that doesn't justify doubling it's price! We will be spending our money at Wendy's this summer.

    • Now we're just waiting on McDonald's to bring back their $1 cones. Until then, I'll have to settle for Burger King cones!

Does anyone remember from last year if you could get the Frosty deal through Uber Eats?

The $1 cones from my local BK are so small! Couldn't even get two full bites of ice cream in before I hit the cone.

$0.99 Frosty is the better value unless they shrunk the cups....

    • I got 6 Frosties yesterday for the family and in Vancouver the $0.25 single use "per" cup fee still applies unfortunately... I asked a worker why the $0.25 single use cup fee apply since the Frosty is essentially a dessert in a cup so it should have been exempted. The worker told me that you can drink the Frosty from straw....

So... has anyone here ever received their Frosty with a straw or spoon? I always had received it with a spoon and eat it with a spoon. If we all drink it from a straw, imagine the quick brain freeze we will all get.

Yes but when I read the statement below then I thought it was exempted however the worker at my location said the Frosty was not a dessert because you can drink it out from a straw therefore they treat it as a drink not a frozen dessert. I also notice you are located in "Hamilton" so I don't know if you pay for this fee. If I buy a McFlurry at McDonalds there is no cup fee.

"Exemptions. Hospitals, community care facilities, and charitable food providers are exempt from the requirement to charge fees on disposable cups. The cup fee and reporting requirement do not apply to single-use cups used to serve prepared food, such as soup, pudding, frozen desserts, and more."

Which location did you get charged the cup fee for frostys? I would think they fall under that exemption you just quoted. I've only ever eaten a frosty with a spoon... lol it would take a while to wait for it to melt accordingly to be able to drink it with a straw! I think this might be worth reporting to the city...

Yes I will report and I will also mention about the free coffee (ahem... watered down coffee) that they are currently giving away was also in a "foam" cup which was banned as of Jan. 1, 2020 as per the statement below.

"Effective Jan 1, 2020, businesses, charities, and not-for-profits are banned from serving prepared food and beverages in foam cups and foam take-out containers."

      EDIT:
Location = 10 SE Marine Dr, Vancouver, BC
