    • Pizza Hut has been going downhill for awhile and these updated promos just remind me to always support local places. Corporate greed coupled with less quality ingredients and $30+ for a pizza - nope, going to spend that money at a mom and pop shop and hope Pizza Hut goes away forever.

    • It's not just the $2 price hike for specialty pizzas. They have increased the price of their large pizzas which is required to get this deal.

I always order large pepperoni lovers. The price has gone from $22 to $25.99. That's almost a 20% increase!

My last order was Was June 15th.

    • I ate in a Pizza Hut recently I was walking with this girl on a date and she thought a Boston pizza was near by…
Anyways it’s $30 for a large, there was no waiter etc despite their being the whole dining room. So I had to go up to the counter for napkins etc. I asked for napkins three times before he gave me any, he grunted the third time and gave me the whole bin of napkins.
Terrible prices, terrible service bland and greasy cardboard pizza I wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
Dominoes third the price, better sauce and cheese hand tossed instead of greasy shit. And a Brooklyn is $11 and on 50% off days a large cheese is as little as $4 last time I tried.
Yep I love pizza but I still find myself spending most of my money for pizza supporting Dominos more than the other chains.

    • Remember when you could dine in at a Pizza Hut restaurant???? Bottemless Salads!!

Do they even have any dine in Pizza Hut restaurants left in Canada? The last one I saw in Ajax was recently divided in half and the vacated space is being turned into a Mary Browns while the existing half has turned into an exclusive Take Out only Pizza Hut, as many others have too.
All you can eat pizza hut lunch buffet was the so good back in highschool

    • In Burnaby, when looking at the deals section, at the bottom is a deal that says: "2 Large Recipe Pizzas for $28.99"... Since the Meat Lovers, for example is already this price, this deal effectively is the BOGO deal.

I added to cart and the total is effectively 20 cents more than my BOGO order from last time.

    • Comparing pricing to 2002 times is ridiculous. You're not going to find any product that is still selling for the same price as 2002.
      Erm, computers? TVs? :)

    • Nope. That's not new.

That's like saying New Coke (1985) was a recent abomination by Coca Cola since the company was founded in 1886.

Or describing a 1998 beige Corolla as relatively new in a Kijiji ad.
***Relatively is the keyword. So you are correct it does not apply to the corolla, but does the pizza. As the corolla was only new in the 1998, but a change in the later history of Pizza Hut can be considered relatively new.

    • Correct. Since Pizza Hut was founded in 1958, what happened in the last two decades would be considered relatively new.

The $5 pizza now being limited to a 2 topper is actually new - meaning the last time this promo happened it was for any of their recipe pizzas (couple of months ago.)

This promo is actually $7, $7, $7 when compared to its actual recent promo.

    • Nope. It was $5 large when it first came out. The medium is relatively new. Like within the last 15-20 years.

    • Topping restrictions kills this wtf

    • 2 toppings? No thanks. Used to be any pre-configured medium pizza for $5.
If they could not offer it at the same price, should have increased the price to $6, which is a 20% increase, I would have still ordered. But lowering the quality, sorry, no deal.

    • I think the deal was always $5 medium pizza, however, it used to be buy any regular priced Large OR Medium pizza and get next xx medium pizza for $5 each. Putting topping restrictions definitely kills the deal now. The other approach would have been to skimp on the topping portions ...

    • They can't follow up their BOGO deal with this nonsense - come on!
They might be trying to make back the money lost on the BOGO?

    • Their own special on the site says its $5, $5, $5, but when you go to add them they are all $7 $7 $7 & only 2 toppings each. lol $51.40 in Brantford.

    • To be honest I didn't know the $5 was for a medium. I think the last time i bought this "deal" was before 2020.

I remembered their $10 daily was for a Large and now it's a medium.

Now they even put on toppings restriction? It was already bad enough that their pizza gotten smaller and now this? Well my wallet is safe from the hut.
