View allIf you don't want to fund animal torture and slaughter, you can order it fully plant based and vegan without mayo (or possibly without papa sauce in the u.s). Factory farms aren't humane nor sustainable - Think about the big picture guyz
I think it's essentially a teen burger isn't it?
Also, several A&W's in Calgary have run out of the beyond meat burger and ask that you sign up for notification of its return at this website: aw.ca/beyondupdate
They basically taste exactly like beef so it begs the question is it really worth eating an animal for a slight difference in taste?
I tried the Beyond Meat when it came out and I could have been fooled. It was moist when you bite into it but it reminded me of a slightly burned tofu taste.
When I went on Aug 14th in Ontario, the staff said there was a supplier shortage. "Beyond Meat" is the actual brand of the patty that you could find in the grocery store. From the patty company video, it looked like a small facility in the US, which might explain the limited capacity. Likely giving priority for the US consumer as well.
I asked the staff about the grill/ contact with real meat. While there is only one grill, staff said they reserved a spot specifically for Beyond Meat to "try" to separate it from real meat but can't guarantee no contact.
