View allQuite the short deal though. 1 Spider-Man Movie and one MCU appearance. Better than nothing, but they'll be at it again in a few years
He will also be used in Sony's own venom universe as well.
Good news regardless. They knew the fans wanted it

How about an All the President's Men like intrigue featuring J.J.J. Sony?
Anyhow the story at Deadline is updating and it looks like Sony blinked but as others have mentioned it's just two more movies

Edit: Looks like a compromise where Disney will take on 25% of the costs for a 25% stake in the next 1. So they would put in ~$50 mill and make ~$200 mill when it hits a billion. Plus they get Spidey for 1 more MCU film.

Hulk (Eric Bana 2003)
The Incredible Hulk (Edward Norton 2008)
The Avengers (Mark Ruffalo 2012)*
*Norton and Ruffalo are allegedly playing the same character in the same universe so it's rebootcicity is debatable)

So from all listed next phase MCU movies, which one would best suit a friendly neighborhood spider-man?
Highly likely that next solo movie will deal with ramifications of everyone knowing his secret identity, then end with him leaving the MCU to go to an alternate uinverse where his identity would again be secret (help from Doctor Strange).
In the comics, he made a deal with Mephisto, sacrificing his marriage to MJ so that everyone would forget his identity reveal from Civil War.
What makes you say that?
I don't see spiderman changing actors just moving into sony verse story line with venom and all the stuff stony wants and try there shot at a saga like mcu. well that was exactly what disney first offered before sony said no to it. I read that's because Universal owns hulk theatrical rights. So technically all 3 were Universal. With the 3rd co-oped by disney. Seems the contract is Disney can't make a hulk lead movie only Universal can. They can make him a supporting character as much as they want. Plus when Unversal pooped on all 3 shots. MCU instead locked down ruffalo contract for their saga. I think actor contracts effects everything for any continuing storyline otherwise your stuck in reboot loop. It wouldn't surprise me if MCU either dramatically kills spiderman in phase 4 to end the relationship altogether with sony. Or introduce "sony verse" in an mcu movie maybe around dr.strange's multiverse movie. A gratuitous gesture for future relationship. With the latter explaining for both to co-exist side by side equally for future negotiations to continue and if studio who owns the rights goes off the reservation. Kinda just like in the comics with new writers I guess if you think about it. It completely falls in line with a "multiverse" story line vs confusing audiences and fan bases of both theatrical and comics. The only problem now is making sure they tie up the actor affordably before either invest further.
