View allThe 3-months-for-half-price deal is good, because it's hard to tell if this version is going to be around in a few months.
I'm hoping it keeps being the home of Star Trek, because right now, you can't stream any of the ST movies in Canada, and all the STs on Crave say they are going away in a couple of weeks. So maybe all the STs will be on Paramount again? Or maybe not if it's going to be merged or sold off elsewhere?
"The one exception is Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which is currently running its second season. Bell Media has confirmed that Strange New Worlds will be available to stream on Crave until the fall."

I have bought it for my dad 2 years in a row now.
Anything good worthwhile watching on the 3 month term?
If anyone figures out how let me know.
Is there any good offerings for paramount for the time being?
when the channels are integrated into prime video , vs a standalone app on Fire OS, or any other os, you can only access inside Prime Video and as Prime video channels.
Therefore a vpn will not work. Your Amazon billing method address determines everything.
If on the other hand you subscribe separately to an app (disney+ , for example) set vpn to USA and you'll see fewer options inside Disney+
National geographic or Star or both will be missing , (part of Hulu) Outside usa those are included with Disney+ where Hulu isn't offered .
Had this issue with britbox before. Couldn't log in to it anywhere and it wouldn't respond to vpn location because it was part of Prime Video.
Even installing the app (britbox etc) separately won't get you the service
That said Britbox and motortrend are fine on the Canadian library. Depending on what you want , not a issue .
You'll only need Prime Video to access services . Which can actually be a plus .
US VPN doesn't cure the lack of content.
Thanks Kate/OP.

Edit: Man the UI sucks sooo bad, like why can't they make it easier to see whats included. Sorta like Disney+
