get this deal Black Friday

Listen to this year's hottest hits with Amazon Music Unlimited, because you can get three months of streaming for free for Black Friday.

This offer is available to new or returning Amazon Music Unlimited users – Amazon Music Unlimited is a music streaming service with a library of over 100 million songs, including new releases and curated playlists. In addition, the service unlocks on-demand playback and unlimited skips, which are not available with the free Amazon Music Prime (see below).

For reference, Amazon Music Unlimited trials are usually just one-month long, while the service is regularly $9.99 per month ($8.99 for Prime members), which means you'll save upwards of $29.97 with this offer.

This offer is available online for a limited time. Once your free three-month subscription is over, you will be charged the standard monthly rate, but you can cancel your membership at any time.

Posted November 1: Stream 100 Million Songs for FREE with Amazon Prime

Tap into millions of hits with Amazon.ca, where over 100 million songs are now available to stream for free with Amazon Music Prime.

Amazon Music Prime is an ad-free music streaming service included with all Amazon Prime memberships. Previously, the service was underwhelming with a music library of just two million songs, but Amazon added an additional 98 million songs to the service on November 1, including new releases like Taylor Swift's Midnights.

Simply login with your Amazon Prime credentials online or through the Amazon Music app (Android, iOS) to start streaming.

However, the much larger selection does come with two major caveats – while you can choose any album or playlist to stream, songs can only be played in shuffle mode and you are limited to six track skips per session. A paid Amazon Music Unlimited membership is required if you want to play songs on-demand and get unlimited skips, which costs an additional $8.99 per month.

Amazon Music Prime is available to all Amazon Prime members in Canada at no extra charge – click here to get a 30-day Prime free trial to try the service.

    • SO many companies are now using forward Credit Card billing. "You are purchasing a recurring product or subscription which will automatically renew" This means you have to call & cancel within a certain time frame & companies are making it very difficult, with long waits & supposed mistakes that can take months to rectify! More than 30% don't even bother to call to cancel even when they don't like or use the service or product. Norton antivirus software, Ancestry DNA and so many companies are using this tactic.
That’s why, immediately after buying, I switch my credit card on file to a Koho prepaid Visa with $2 in it. If I forget to cancel, no problem, they won’t get any more money from me. This has sometimes even “extended” a free trial or time-limited subscription for me for a week or more.

    • I signed on as a returning customer (November 23rd) and was immediately charged the 8.99 a month with automatic renewal. It took 15 minutes on the phone to get the transaction reversed and the automatic renewal changed. The person I spoke to wasn't aware of the promotion, she checked with her lead and stated it was only for new customers.
The charge was reversed and automatic renewal was stopped.
A major gong show trying to get the transaction cancelled. No three months free but at least my money was refunded.

    • Nice, clicked on OP's link and got offered 6 months of Unlimited. Considering the stress Amazon has caused me since their recent changes to Amazon Music, I feel a bit less hatred directed at them.

    • They won't get a dime from me for unlimited no matter how hard they try. When they charge me for accidental sign up I always demand a refund. And is it me, or anything you added to your library would soon after require unlimited?

Amazon music used to be part of the reason I subscribe to prime. This might be the last year for Prime membership, I'm using all their services less and less these days.

    • I've been jumping from Music Unlimited and to Spotify back and forth for the last two years. Spotify app is much better and works seamlessly on all devices. Amazon Music has a slight edge in audio quality. But it's not significant enough to keep using it over Spotify, IMO.

Amazon music is so much slower on Android Auto. And casting to a google home device or Sonos soundbar gives glitches and errors here and there. Seems to cut out more too.

    • That was actually a downgrade, you can not play anything you select, all in shuffle mode.

      This…

Amazon decided to increase the revenue from Amazon Music, so they nerfed the version included with Amazon Prime, taking away the ability to choose songs or download songs for offline. By making it a shuffle-only service, they are hoping people will move to Amazon Music Unlimited, which they increased by millions of songs at the same time.

I’ve been using Amazon Music for over a year and am on the fence. I won’t give up Prime, but if AM Unlimited is the same price as Spotify, I may make a move, mostly out of spite, tbh.

    • This comes up periodically and lines up nicely so you can have free streaming music over Christmas. This is only for new subscribers and I don't know if you get any free trial for those that have previously subscribed to Amazon Music Unlimited. Can't see it listed when the offer will expire, but usually lasts for a few weeks.

Believe HD/Ultra HD and spatial audio music is now included in Amazon Music Unlimted.

Will see if the debating will begin on the merits of Amazon Music Unlimited vs Spotify vs Apple Music vs Tidal, etc... lol.

    • Just finished a trial of Amazon Music. I was really enjoying it until I used it in my car with Android Auto. My "Unlimited" experience became more like one you get from the free package.

      I cancelled.

    • I received this Email this morning...

Apple is raising the price of this subscription from $14.99 per month to $16.99 per month. Your subscription will automatically renew for $16.99 per month, starting December 6 unless you cancel at least one day before. To learn more or to cancel, review your subscription.

I have been thinking of moving away from Apple and this is the incentive.

Is there a thread that shows alternatives. I have liked Apple due to the Family plan. My husband and two teens also use it.
I am an Amazon Prime member but would look at any alternatives.

Is there a thread ? OR is this the best offer out there ? Does anyone think it might be sweetened for Black Friday ?

    • It's a pretty shit service. Works really well with Echo devices, but other than that it's pretty damn lousy. For the same damn price as others, it sure is a hard sell. Might as well say there's no savings if you've got prime too.

Has gotten a LOT better in the previous months, but it's still got major issues. Such as inexistant support with anything.

Why can I get apple music working on my google, apple and echo speakers, when I can't even get the google assistant on my phone to start a damn song properly with it on my phone.
