    • Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe this display's maximum brightness and contrast ratio is less than 300nits and 600:1 respectively.

    • Crippled by UHD 620 GPU, and it's $300 more than the AMD Flex which has the much superior Vega 10.

After eBates its still close to $300 more, still too much IMO.

Thank you for the effort, OP.

      Edit: Bold and underlined correction.

    • This probably has better battery time than AMD ones. One should keep that in mind.

It's been revealed that Lenovo hid the other Power Plans with more aggressive power savings.

Unhiding those seems to unlock greater battery life in modes like Power Saver on the AMD Flex.

    • I missed out on the ASUS deal, that one was a much better deal which I am assuming might come back on BF, I wouldn't buy laptops with 8th generation CPU at this point since they want to clear them out so it is either BF or boxing day.

I got the $900 ASUS deal but am glad I returned it because this deal ($620 lenovo) is better value, at least for me as a student.

Why did you return it, something wrong?

    • I have tried this lenovo and recent asus deal.
This Lenovo Flex has a better performance harddrive, but lower brightness and refresh rate screen 300Hz, also it comes with some fan noise.
In contrast, ASUS has a better material, lower fan noise (and significantly less heat dissipation).

Just curious, this deal doesn't come with a dedicated graphics card so how is the value better?

I am getting 6 hours of surfing and YouTube with the restored 'Power Saver' profile. Not bad for a one minute command line tweak.

What about you folk? Anyone find additional tricks to extend further?
@lewdvig just confirmed (+1 anecdote) 6 hours of browsing and YouTube on the unlocked 'Power Saver' Power plan for the AMD Flex 14. Lenovo needs to reboot that deal asap now that we know how to configure the beast.

I believe he also reported reduced fan spin and associated background noise.

    • I have had this laptop for the past 1.5 years and one of the hinges just broke. Pretty frustrating. Out of its warranty and the mastercard I bought it on, I no longer have. Be weary of the hinges if they are stuck/sticky feeling.

Respectable CPU performance. User Upgradeable RAM, WiFi, and SSD.

Downside is the crippled UHD 620 GPU, way weaker than the AMD Vega 10.
I have to follow all of your posts, not sure how you catch all of these deals but good job!
