    • The screen on this model is excellent, and the extra size over 6" e-readers is is well worth the extra money. But if it matters, note that this newer model no longer has built-in Overdrive support for borrowing library books directly on the unit - it has to be done via your computer. Also the waterproof models no longer have an external microSD card slot.

Still hoping for the Aura ONE with an even larger screen to go on sale for something close to this price...

    • Good deal, love mine! Internal memory holds 5,000 books I believe. Having the waterproofing is great for vacations or days in the pool, by the beach or hot tub.

Is using a computer to sync books a tedious process or is it fairly straightforward? Was debating this or the Paperwhite Kindle but the screen size matters to me.

Not a lot of extra effort. You download the book from Overdrive using Adobe Digital Editions on your computer, then you plug in the Kobo and tell ADE to upload the book.

    • 265 ppi :/ internal debate whether to get this or the Kindle for $99

I currently have a mini which is working great but I'd like a bigger screen now.

Ido have to jump through more hoops to work with the Kindle ecosystem though argh idk what to do
