Get a new gaming rig with this deal from Costco.ca, because you can get an Alienware Aurora R8 Gaming Desktop with an Intel Core i5 9600K Processor, 16GB RAM, 256GB SSD + 1TB Hard Drive and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 for $1389.99 with free shipping!

A Costco membership is not required to get this Alienware desktop, which has the same specs as the sought-after deal from Best Buy two weeks ago.

For comparison, the Best Buy price has since jumped to $1899.99, while a nearly-identical configuration without the 256GB SSD is currently $2299.99 directly from Dell.ca, making this a great value for a pre-built gaming desktop with current-generation components. Product specs include:

  • 3.7GHz Intel Core i5 9600K six-core processor with 16GB of DDR4 RAM
  • 256GB NVMe SSD with 1TB hard drive
  • NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 graphics card with 8GB video memory
  • Killer Networks 1535 802.11ac + Bluetooth 4.2 wireless card
  • Customizable AlienFX lighting with 20 different colours and over 8000 unique themes for a personalized look
  • Windows 10 Home 64-bit installed with improved Start menu, Cortana digital assistant, universal Windows apps and more
  • Includes Alienware keyboard and mouse

This offer is available for a limited time and shipping fees are included in the list price. Quantities are limited and a Costco membership is not required to shop online.

    • It always blows my mind how expensive a gaming PC seems. Then those bits of my brain get blown up again when I realize it's the cost of a modern iPhone.

5 to 10 years ago you need to spend 3000 for a whole high end rig. now it's much better.

But yeah iphone price is insane lol. my iphone 5s i got for 60 bucks a year ago does 90% what the new one can do and really make no difference for me based on usage. the folding phone i think can justify the price, it's actually useful. want nice phone screen just pick up a samsung note 4 or 5 for 100 to 200 bucks and good to go.

this one would be good if the 2070 is super. the dell killer wireless is very very good though : )

No benefit if they no longer offer 10% discount of price difference, 3x aeroplan miles and extra warranty are better :)

    • For what it's worth, I picked up this system during the Best Buy deal and I've been very happy with it. Pretty quiet at full load and has handled the few games (@ 1440p) I've tried on it easily.

As was said in the previous posts, you can probably build a system with brand name parts for around the same cost but at this price, it is quite competitive and the convenience of a pre-built system is worth it to me.

The user azn0Richard0 posted in the BB thread this link from the Reddit with the parts photos:

    • RTX 2070 - $600
      i5 9600k - $300
      RAM - $100
      Mobo - $150
      AIO - $100
      PSU - $70
      SSD - $50
      Case - $50

So like $1400 - $1500 ish if you build this yourself with the cheapest stuff around. I forgot to add the cost of the HDD and DVD.

This is pretty good for this price.

Edit: I was also pointed out that I am missing the Windows License. So yeah... this is a great deal.

    • If you are pricing your own, make sure to add a 2070 super instead of a regular 2070. Same price as a 2070, but performance like a 2080

    • Really good deal on a gaming desktop. I built my own about 10 or so months ago. Mind u I used good quality products and better ssd/ram and processor, but it also cost me something like $700 more. I would have bought this instead if I had more patience and waited until now
