View allProblem is I am on vacation till September 30th and the promotion ends on the 26th, do you guys think apple would let me keep the headphones and just swap the iPads?
Walk into the Apple store with your pick-up QR code in your iPhone's wallet, walk out with the product.
I expect the staff in the store have little to nothing to do with online sales that are picked up there. They just hand over the product. If you walked in and asked for the education discount, maybe they'd ask but considering it's for students, their parents, teachers, anyone who can spell the word 'school'...
FWIW I asked today when picking up the Studio3 portion of my iMac order about swapping out the color of the headphones - no go. You'd have to return the entire order to change out the headphones.
Not a big deal for an iPad, but if you're ordering a configured iMac and waiting a week or more for it, a bit of a bigger hassle. So choose your colors wisely.
just google 'apple back to school' and use the link to order
Store staff will not ask for proof upon pickup?
Thanks
The same setup using the USA education pricing, where they also offer the free Beats is USD$2,540.18 with tax in South Carolina (where I could get it easily).
USD$2,540 = CAD$3,463 based on TD's current exchange rate of 1.3635 when buying USD.
A Canadian VISA would add another 2.5% to that taking it up to $3,527
I'd save a whopping $9 buying it in the US.
Considered buying used, but the 9th gen i5 / 512GB SSD / 580X 27" iMac seems a sweet spot for price/performance, and 4-5 year old models are selling for at least 1/2 the cost of a new one, not factoring in the Beats value of $200-$300 or so.
The Air is a nice deal too, if you can unload the Solo 3's. Perhaps the color selection is better in store, but online they're some pretty loud colors.
Basically, it's like ebates where you make the purchase with an affiliate link.
Thanks
Using cash versus a credit card to make a significant purchase is poor advice. My advice would be to save enough so that you can pay off the balance immediately but use a credit card so that you can benefit from the small cash back bonus and most importantly, purchase assurance (loss/theft/damage) in the first 60-90 days plus extended warranty coverage.
Anyone knows if this laptop is worth buying? Or is it better to buy the new macbook air 2019 with the beats deal?
The back to school promo really isn’t a clearance promo tho you can generally get a better deal if you don’t want the headphones during Black Friday. I wonder how many universities don’t have dates on their IDs. I know my ID from SFU doesn’t have any dates on it...
