    • "1.3 GHz quad-core processor, 1.5 GB of RAM" and only 16 GB of storage? What decade is this? Google Chrome alone will choke this tablet to death with how much RAM or needs. Save your money, it would be a better waste on lottery tickets.

      History low?
for the 8" it was $69 on Prime Day, and BF/CM 2018.

    • I bought the HD 8 last year for my MIL to use for whatsapp and viewing facebook; it was fine for most basic stuff.

The only major problem was the volume which was super low in almost all apps, there was volume boost fix which was convoluted, not supported by Amazon and mostly ineffective. In the end the volume issue made it a point of frustration so I replaced it with a much better tablet for the MIL.

I still use it for some basic stuff, was thinking about mounting it for a home automation control panel.

If you manage your expectations appropriately the 8 and 10" models are incredible for the price. I have one of each and couldn't be happier, I literally returned a Microsoft Surface because the 10" did everything I needed it to at least 75% as well for 1/5 the price.

    • I picked up the 10" when it was on sale last time and it's pretty awesome considering it was only $150. Gets super loud, nice big screen. Well worth it as a toilet/couch companion.

    • Is this powerful enough to play 1080p/4k videos (regardless of the screen resolution)?

    • its perfect for streaming and browsing...for $150 dont expect it to be an Ipad . Ability to install google play on it makes it even better.

    • I have 2 of the 8"
Does absolutely everything my kids need them for.
Except for the Rogers AnyplaceTV app. I get the not available outside Canada error. Though I havent looked into the issue much.
After a year though, battery life is no longer that great. Myabe my kids /our charging habits arent the best. Left to charge overnight pretty much every night.

    • Have the 8" and the 10". Both are awesome for the price. Best bang for your buck for sure. Just have realistic expectations.

I had the same issue, installed a volume boost app, now it's more than loud enough. My kids use it and I can hear it 10 m away.
