The Source The Source: Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with Play and Charge Kit $44.99 (Reg. $69.99) The Source: Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with Kit
get this dealHere's a pretty sweet Xbox 360 controller deal posted by forum user c613m. For a limited time, the Source has put the Xbox 360 Wireless Controller with Play and Charge Kit on sale for $44.99 -- down from $69.99 and a good price for those looking to pick up a spare controller. Normally, you're looking to pay a lot more for the combo so now would be a good time to pick it up if your friends have been on you to purchase another controller for multiplayer purposes.
We've seen many controller deals popup lately, but this is one of the better ones available as the play and charge kit is really a necessity during extended gaming sessions. Just a heads up, the kit does not make this a wired controller for use with Windows PCs. The included cord is for recharging only, a shame because we would have liked to see the cord do double duty. Either way, this is a good price for both the controller and the recharge kit.
The deal is live now but expires on January 3. Online stock is currently sold out but should still be available in-store.

I bought an original Microsoft Wireless Receiver back in the days when microsoft actually sold them separately. The fuse inside it died (a common issue apparently). I wasn't about to buy a whole other controller just to get another receiver.
I've bought 2 of them from dx so far, one has a slightly wonky cable, I might ask dx for a replacement but it's manageable. They come with their own drivers that should work ok, but if you use winrar to extract the files from the official MS wireless driver installer, you can use the windows device manager to install the official drivers (I should make a guide sometime)
But anyway. Take this thread as you wish!
The Extreme Gaming Play & Charge kit seems like a good deal at 33% off. Any comments on its quality (battery charge, does it last 30 hours as stated, etc.)?
Any opinions on either of these...
