View allBass is stronger in X3 and Beats X is more clear side....Beats' cable is different than regular wireless earphone
I guess i will retune Jaybirds because it is $11 more expensive and I use iPhone, Beats may suit a bit more because of W1 chips + fast charge
Cannot go wrong with both.
The rubber coated wing broke off. So one side doesn't fit so snug anymore.
Sound is meh. Actually subpar if you ask me.
Microphone is not good for calls.
My smoking buds 2 sit better in my ears. Feel more comfy and sound better.
Also better mic.
Way cheaper too. Never an issue with them.
I've been forcing myself to use the beatsx.
Kinda stupid. (for me.)
I am able to return jaybird so I am still thinking should I open this or not? What happen if I really don’t like this, ask Apple for return?
Did you sign up at https://www.thesource.ca/subscribe? Other than trying again, I'm not sure, sorry!
nothing!
do I just need register and subscribe or is there another step that I'm missing?
I signed yesterday with a new account (same address , same name)
apparently there's some sort of issue with the standby mode? Also, you have to still click a button on the iphone to pair? Do the airbuds require that as well?
the other part of me knows that stuff like V-Moda has way better sound. At a 100 I guess it's not a huge investment (not small either tho)
Looks like it's just a standard 1 year warranty?

$90 plus tax is about $103 in Ontario for jaybirds
$99 plus tax is about $113 and if they let you use $25 off, you actually get a better deal for beats X
It ends up about $90 all in @ the source , save about $13-15
Thanks RFD
If you’re in downtown Toronto, I can let you know where they will accept the coupon for this.
And initial thoughts on the Beatsx is seamless pairing on my iPhone and also connects automatically with my Apple Watch. The sound quality is quite good, better than my stock Apple earbuds but I’m not an audiophile. I hear what people are saying about the length of the wire being dangly with the neckband resting on the neck and the parts that has the power button and charging port.
But hey I got the extended warranty/replacement plan so if it ends up being fixed, I can swap it out.
Discount cannot be used towards purchase of Apple products, Beats products, The Source Gift Cards, all prepaid cards (iTunes, Xbox, etc.), prepaid airtime cards, mobile phone plans and security deposits. One (1) per subscriber. New subscribers only
Also bought the warranty since it covers it for two replacements, for $36
Although the W1 chip headphones are optimized for compatibility with Apple devices, they also work with any device that sports Bluetooth compatibility."
pretty much apple stuff just works well with other apple endorsed stuff...
which is not to say 30 dollar anker wireless IEM's from amazon.ca won't work with your iPhone but you know apple isn't a product it's a lifestyle
It took a while for me to get the fit, but I find I do go to these for running, riding my bike, riding a stationary cycle while watching TV with audio through the headphones and listening to music at work (just easier to take than my solo 2''s)
