View allI just bought a second one of these. We love this chair in my house.
Coming from an older chair that just wasn't cutting it, this one is great.
Love the mesh as I don't get hot in the chair and it's got very good support.
I have bamboo floors and read that I'll likely need soft casters instead of the hard casters the chair comes with. Is it necessary? I don't want to scratch up my flooring. I could get one of those chair mats but they're expensive and make cleaning more of a hassle. Anywhere to get cheap soft casters?
My wife and I don't like it.
I would recommend Steelcase Leap instead.
I'm going to admit, it feels 80% as good as the Hyken but it doesn't give me full back and neck support.
Why do I still prefer the Hyken?
- The Headrest
- The Hyken is a little taller.
If you're 5'8" or shorter, you may be indifferent and go for the cheaper Costco chair. Otherwise I'd say stick with the Hyken.
I wish the armrests would fold up, or move to the sides. sometimes they get in the way. Is there a chair like this with foldup armrests?
This is the closest thing to the Staples Hyken I've found at Costco @ $500+:

2) Pym particles
I'm thinking something wasn't right with that unit, maybe try another store unit.

Anyone else have this problem (and maybe a solution)?
I would stop flagging these old threads every time a new sales cycle comes along as there's a lot of garbage and misinformation piled in there. That, and I like to curate my threads cleanly, which is not possible when threads are merged.
