    • I never got a tracking number for UPS, and for Staples, I can only check the order and the order status will state the tracking info. No tracking number for that either since usually they use their own trucks to deliver. Is this what you meant by "tracking number"? I really hate it when Staples says "out for delivery" when my order isn't even on their truck or cancelled, and in this case, delayed for another courier.

What is the status for not being picked up from the warehouse? "Order being processed"?
I asked for my tracking number from the chat.

The UPS site said that the order was being processed, with the item waiting to be picked up from staples.

    • Anybody get their Boxing Day orders from Staples yet? After three days of "out for delivery", I got emailed on the 31st saying my stuff is delayed for another 2-5 business days, and will be shipped by UPS. If I don't get it by 5 days, to contact them. They didn't provide any tracking info.
The same for me... But when I checked the tracking number, the item hadn't even been picked up from the warehouse.

    • Did anyone notice the buy 1 get 2 free video games ad on their local staples flyer? I figured to check local store they had a pile of PS3 Xbox360 wii games for 10-20 range. So I bought ghost recon anthology for $11.97 and asked about promo and CSR said pickup a couple of PS3 games for free.. Slim pickings but ended up with Resident Evil Revelations and Resistance 3 for free.

    • mcafee is not-so-good antivirus software, same for enterprise version. Mcafee usually does not have strong ability to clean or remove virus/malware and once it allows virus/malware to pass through its protection (and sometime it does allow virus/malware to pass through), and you got pissed off. You have to end up with checking if Norton provides any manual remove resolutions or using some other specific removing tools.
Besides, when mcafee antivirus working its encryption software, it's a nightmare sometimes. It's not uncommon to get your computer (i7 cpu/16G memory for example) stuck for half an hour for no reason. I saw this happened many times on various computers. Sometimes mcafee brand's software (antivirus, encryption, firewall etc.) works like a virus (taking a lot of cpu and memory and get your computer slow and even not workable)
I think mcafee av is terrible, only enterprise is acceptable. My university uses it, so it should be OK. Otherwise why would they use a no reliable one?

    • McAfee regularly scores highly in independent AV tests. (PCMag, Toms, etc). While not my first choice, McAfee of 2013+ is not in the same world as Mcafee of ~2000-2010. It appears being bought by Intel did a world of good.

    • I'd avoid Norton if possible. My personal preference is Eset, but Kasperky, bitdefender are good too. Just avoid Norton/McAfee AV.

    • Picked up the high back manager chair (906707). Have the exact same one currently but it's three years old now, the material on the arms is starting to crack and the piston is starting to have issues. Such a comfortable chair in my opinion (my only complaint is the armrest padding flattens really quickly). Used a 10$ off 100$+ coupons online that are easy to find to bring it down to $101.66. Pretty much a steal at that price.
Thanks. I'd like to use a coupon too but this cahir is of course OOS ...online anyway, can we use the coupons in store?

I got this Costco chair for xmas but I don't find it very comfortable. http://www.costco.ca/Ergo-Task-AIR%E2%8 ... 55302.html

EDIT: Also, I ALWAYS get a request timeout error trying to load their website. Always. ??

    • Yep, same here.

Oh well, a similar deal will likely pop up elsewhere over the next week.

Can this sale price of $19.96 be price-matched at Best Buy? I am unfamiliar with BB price-matching and their terms.
Yes but generally not on the 26th. I lucked out as Staples had their BD prices up on the website on the 24th. So into my local BB did I go and got the Norton for $13.99 and the HP 8620 printer for 109.99.

Norton AV. A slightly better buy than volcano insurance.

    • I've been using Norton for a couple years now and haven't had any issues. I'll try another one though, it really doesn't matter to me. If it's decent enough and on sale, I'll try it.

Also, why is it weird to still use antivirus software?

I haven't tried Kaspersky before, but it seems to have reviewed well. Best Buy has a decent deal going...

I wonder if their cell phone cases will go on sale. I'd love to pick up an Otterbox Strada on the cheap.

    • Weird. Just tried in Chrome and Firefox and both allowed me to add to my cart. Also tried to change my store to a Toronto store to see if that changed anything and was still showing available.
I dunno why I'm seeing OOS. I checked again from a different browser and even used my VPN to go to a different location.

Kaspersky is on sale at Best Buy. Thinking of buying that but I've been satisfied with Norton for the past year. Need to buy something in the next couple days though.
