    • No kidding, I missed Steve Ballmer. No more good deals from Microsoft since he left.

    • Wasn't the Dell XPS 13 use to be on sale for $999 a few weeks ago? How could BF sale be worse than a regular sale?

    • Damn, even after Oculus decided to strip down the package by removing the XBox One Gamepad & Oculus Remote, that's still a killer deal.

That pretty much makes it a wash for the $100 worth of stripped out accessories which you could easily buy if needed.

    • It's alright. Add a SSD and it will perform almost as good as XPS except the size, weight, battery life and built quality.

    • So no 15" 1080p touchscreen laptop deals like in the past few years? That sucks, as I was looking for a present and that would have been perfect. 😥

I might be mistaken, but it appears that the MS Store has increased the base price of the i5 (Kaby Lake) model (8gb RAM and 1TB HDD) from $669 to $1,099. It is currently listed on "sale" for $849. https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca/store/d ... verviewtab

An old cached page had that model listed at $669 and a sale price of $499. If accurate, seems like Microsoft is picking up the bad habits of Bestbuy.

Because Black Friday, like Boxing Days of past, bank on the marketing hype to get consumers into the store and make you spend on what you think is a good deal.

If you track sales for Best Buy, plenty of times items on sale during the year were cheaper than Black Friday. And some have their prices raised during Black Friday to make it seem like the savings are steeper.

    • What you have might be a phantom stock, it was for the 8GB/i3-7200u. The current SKU is for 4GB/i3-7100u at $799. I guess we will find out which one will be on sale on BF.

I have the Inspiron 13 2in1, but with i7, 8gb ram and 256gb SSD. it has been fantastic. Got it last year from the $799 Microsoft sale.

They have since removed it and charging a lot more.

The i3, 4gb Ram will be pretty slow, especially with windows 10.

      Garbage deal.
