View allOccasionally (maybe once a day for a few minutes) I still get some lag, but it's much more tolerable now.
I also submitted an exchange request a few weeks ago and they've since said it's out of stock and they can either issue a refund, or an exchnage for a "similar" product. I'm still trying to get some clarification what a "similar" product really means, there's a gen 8 of the same Yoga 6 model that came out so hoping I can switch it to this, or something else. Unfortunately, with the potential exchange, and then the cancellation due to inventory levels they've cancelled my Rewards that were supposed to come in, so that's another issue I have to tackle with them...

Better cpu and it has dedicated graphics. But lol the ram and ssd.
I used Aomei to do the partitions, and it had to turn off Bitlocker before it can proceed.
I bought the R7/16Gig/1Tb model. It shipped with Windows 11 Home, like all of the various models. Bitlocker was active on drive, even though Bitlocker is only available on the Pro and Enterprise version of Windows, according to Microsoft. I had to disable Bitlocker in order to partition the drive, but now I cannot re-enable Bitlocker. Strange.
Which model id you buy?
I bought the 5700 / 16gb / 1Tb. I have not seen any issues.
Thanks.
Given that it's installed under HID and not nice, I sort of wondered if it was a driver issue, but I don't seem to be able to get it to recognize any other drivers instead. The various existing ettings don't seem to actually improve anything, although I still get better responsiveness on higher power use modes, which doesn't help when I expected a moderate life (switching from most efficient to most performance REALLY hammers that battery).
I'm not convinced this is going to be a viable long term solution for me. Lenovo can probably expect an RMA. It's a shame - on paper, and in service, it's an ideal laptop for my use. There really aren't any other light 2 in 1s out there with moderate performance and decent battery life for anywhere near this price. I really like this thing, but the trackpad frustrations are making it unuseable.
It’s a shame though, because if I had gotten my cash back and the trackpad worked properly I happily would have kept it. No issues otherwise.
Be careful with the trigger finger while you are still on the euphoria stage of a new purchase. This is when you start spending way too much money on accessories, and end up wasting away the money saved on the discounts.
Found this : Lenovo Yoga 6 13ALC7 (2-in-1) Matte Screen Protector
There's also on Ali Express that costs around 20$ for two pieces.
Maybe this instead?

I notice that I have fewer issues with tracking in higher performance power profiles; I'm wondering if the trackpad somehow doesn't get enough power to operate right in lower usage modes, but I don't know why this would be the case. Can anyone tell me if they're experiencing their issues while plugged in/on higher performance modes?
The Ryzen 7730 and 7530.
If you are specifically looking for the top-end model with 5700u and 16GB/1TB config, then you might have to wait till it's available again.
Alternatively, if you can wait longer then they are releasing the next version of this laptop with new-gen processors. It would be available in spring, this year.

By the way, if you prefer the Windows 10 taskbar/start menu, the app StartAllBack works amazing.
I did delete all the unnecessary Microsoft and Lenovo apps and did a bunch of updates right off the bat
One thing I did notice, was that these "Dolby Atmos" branded speakers suck compared to my MacBook Air (though I'm not sure if it's a fair comparison given that one is almost half the price of the other)
Did all the windows updates (w11) and microsoft store updates.
There were no Lenovo Vantage updates available.
While there aren't any software issues and im all around happy with the laptop, it can with a scratch - like a Harry Potter lightning mark - on one of the keys lol
Because it's so minor, I'll ask if they can just do a partial refund, rather than RMA, but we'll see.
Overall, it was either this of MS surface, and for the price and the specs, I'm happy.
Thanks OP
i did a clean windows 11 installation and i honestly don't know what driver is required for that: no exclamation/question mark in device manager.
However, if it stops working again I will def be returning as it makes this totally unusable as a portable for me.
