    • Is this better than Avermedia 313 which was $35 last month?

    • Apparently a lot of people are liking this because Lenovo's site is buckling right now

I'm pretty sure that was $50.

    • Does the 300 support Microsoft Hello login? I'm leaning towards the 500 for $55.09 after ecoupon for the Microsoft Hello support. I didn't see this listed in the features for the 300.

    • Thanks OP and for those with access to Perkopolis, it's listed at $28.99 white or grey.

The 300 FHD does not support Windows Hello. The 500 FHD has an extra IR sensor for facial recognition that the 300 does not have. Also 300 has a built-in mic and 500 doesn't.

Thanks... it's too bad the 500 doesn't have a built-in mic. Why would a higher model not have something that the lower model has? Anyway, placed an order for the 300 with the Perkopolis & 5% discounts.

    • Anyone have the perk code?

    • I bought the Select FHD for $33.20 - EXTRA5 - Student Discount + taxes (GST+QST) - 7% Rakuten CB for a grand total of $35 last month.

The image quality is really good, the mic is meh but certainly very doable for Zoom calls. Build quality is good for this price point. Certainly a good buy compared to the trash cams you can buy on Amazon for this same price-point.

    • Ah was wondering if someone would post.

This was on sale for $34 back in May and had a thread.

I just bought, two days ago, the 500 FHD for $52 after 5% off plus 7% Rakuten. (Same price if you use perkopolis)

There is also a 500 FHD for sale on Lenovo official e-bay, for $45, but is the model number that is always sold cheaper than the other 500 FHD model number.

At any rate the $52 with free shipping is close to the all time low of $49. And i have been waiting (thread for that sale here : lenovo-canada-lenovo-500-fhd-webcam-win ... #p34481480)

I have a headset and a boom arm mic. And another mic. There is no reason i would ever need a webcam with mic. Just another item for potential hacks to target imo.

      Cheers OP
And cheers anyone looking for the 500 series with windows Hello

You'll see valid opinions on both sides of the argument about whether to have a built-in mic or not. I'm one of those people that use the webcam exclusively for video conferencing and I have a headset, so I've never made use of any built-in mic on any webcam I've ever owned. Other people will feel differently depending on if they use an external mic or headset.

Do you know what the difference (if any) is between the two 500 FHD models? Specs look to be identical, but the price would indicate otherwise.
