View allMy post from other thread for android fans who can't fathom why people pay for expensive iPhones:
Everything in this material world is about perceived value, like currency, stock, property, a piece of paper that states its worth billions of dollars. The things own changes in value every day, every second, and who values these things? The buyers! Other people.
Banks could sell a POS piece of paper to investors and these investors values these like gold, and they ended up causing the global economy crash in 2008-2009.
So when people buying $800-1000 phones and it justifies the value and worth, yes it does justifies its worth and value, no matter how POS it is, since it is worth so by the buyer and by the market. Worth is not determined by its substance alone, but by its perceived value.
Its probably a little hard to shallow the above concept right away. Money, for example, is also just a perceived, artificial value backed by nothing. The dollar was backed by gold before, but no longer. Thats why its the wonder of wall street to create value out of nothing. So next time, when you wonder why people are buying a POS that are less in substance but more in value, you'll understand it.
and while I'm at it...

i ordered an iphone before this thread was made... wonder if theres anyway that i can get the deal without redoing the order....?
iFrappachino xD
$10 "MIR like" savings = HOT DEALS?
lame
I was going to order an iPhone 5 today anyways, might as well take advantage of this opportunity, however small it maybe.
They're just phones.
Android vs. iPhone wars are at a boiling point and it's embarrassing/sad to see them play out in real life. Seriously. Just stop.
Similarly, anyone crying "OMG ITS OVERPRICE IT ONLY COSTS $150 TO MAKE" doesn't understand supply and demand. Products are priced according to how much people are willing to pay. I think Apple, the most profitable company in the world, has a good handle on what to price their most important product. You'd think that people on a fricking hot deals forum would understand this.
i mean the iphone 5 is locked down, cannot change keyboards, no notifications or multitasking like the SGS3 but it barely beats it.. you would think that a locked down phone would be super fast but no!
i could not go back to iphone even if it was free, just based on the fact that they rip you off on memory.. i have yet to see how flash memory is much faster than using a class 10 costco 32gb card for $30.
FAQ! to get an extra 16gb memory is $100
to get 64gb is $200..
that is BS...
just not having to deal with itunes is reason enough to stay away... i like havoing my stuff on external micro sdxc
If you are absolutely dying to get some sort of a deal on an iphone 5, buy some gift cards at a discount and then buy the phone. You'll save more than you did here...
