The size was the selling point for me.
Not sure why so many people are complaining about it. I'm guessing they haven't tried it but some how they are able to say it is no good.
Among full grown adults with some interest and a little time, alternatives present themselves.
Factors like access to domestic (or North American) warranty can be greater considerations for some.
I appreciate your reasonable back-and-forth on this subject.
The North American operations of this company engages in standard price-and-quality discrimination to ensure that quality tablets are priced at the North American willingness to pay, rather than the competitive overseas price for comparable or better tablets. It's normal practice, and I can't fault their business model, but I come to RFD for better options.
It's why I'm so inclined to skip over deals like this one.

Off-topic, anyone bought Lenovo Asian Tablet from Aliexpress? Any issue with custom?
Terrible American tablets have been foisted on the North America market forever, in the lower and mid-tier segment.
The Amazon Fire HD 10 is the respectable mid-tier alternative, I still praise it today for it's affordable value and reliability. However, Chinese tablets are increasingly attractive, increasingly reliably, and solid value for money on specs.

Personally I wouldn’t go for such a low spec like the Lenovo with low-res HD screen, have experience with similar tabs and it’s not worth the headache. FHD makes a difference as well as some performance for daily use.
Of course, there might be some limitation if you want a 100% perfect Android experience as Amazon seem to try to block some stuff (some complain that some Google Widgets doesn't works well, etc. [lot of people don't use widget]) and that might be even more true with more recent Amazon tablet (that bug me a little that Amazon does that, but for the price and for most people's need that want to use YouTube, Browser, etc. it does the jobs very well for a cheap price, and performance wise, it is very decent for that).
