    • The desktop deals are brutal. I always say it with these deals - but bring back the 50% Desktop deals that come to just under $90 CAD. Those were 'hot' prices.

    • Sleepers. You did your best, OP. It looks like Dell is reflecting Corona pricing.

    • I bought one Optiplex 3020 last Christmas $170 including tax i5-4590 + 8gb ram + 500gb hd
Then I spent another $70 to upgrade my ram to 16gb and add 120gb SSD as a boot disk.
Very happy with the performance so far.

    • I was waiting for a sale to buy one of the All-in-One desktops ... 24" 1080p screen, i5-7500, 8GB Ram, HDD (to be switched out for a $65 SSD) all for $699, which was already a decent price for all that... but hey - gotta get the deal! ;)

Saw the sale this morning and excitedly checked the website; only to find the AIO's gone! I was on the website yesterday or the day before and I'm pretty sure I saw one listed with 30+ available. Did someone really buy 30+ All-in-one PCs in the last day or two?! The timing just seems suspicious ... 😖

Edit : I had browser tab still open to the AIO PC listings. See screen shot.

Update : I take back my complaint - the AIO PCs are back on the website! Woot!
      17 remaining now... :)

As long as it's the same connector slot, yes.

Check the back of the SSD, if it is SATA connector, then it should be ok.

    • Dell Refurb's post-Covid pricing has been terrible. They see a lot of demand and jacked up prices by atleat 100%-200%.

A couple years ago I bought a laptop for 215$ and the equivalent sells for 600$ today.

    • Given the recent cpu/core performance jump, it's hard to justify the older workstation systems.

Only reason to buy one of these computers is if you want a system that can run windows 7.

Usual Dell's overpriced 'sale' with anything worth buying despairing just before the sale... If _anything_ is even worth buying at these jacked-up prices...

One is probably better off looking into refurb.io sales; they have free shipping and WAAAY better warranty [1 year for comps/laptops and 90 days battery I think?] free shipping and right now extra 10% off "thanksgiving Sale" discount . EDIT: Also, I think they charge only GST?? Not sure..

Or just buy something off Craig's or Kijiji for half price of Dell's "sale" if you tinker with stuff yourself and don't care about warranty...

For the 7450 AIO PCs, I've scoured eBay and refurb sellers and Dell Refurbished had the best price for this particular model and specs.

Seems like lots of people are complaining of the high prices for the desktops or not enough of a sale discount ... Its probably not Dell Refurbished's fault. Looks like prices for used PCs have gone up everywhere.

This is a legitimate Dell website - just not the official Dell website. Dell Refurbished is a subsidiary...

You should have seen their old website design. It was almost running on a generic shopping cart design. lol
