Just stating a fact, this was the no go for me. Should be 1440 and this would have been hawt

      Low resolution gaming...

Jokes aside, it's a nice monitor, BUT many want higher resolutions at these speeds. I have to get use out of my dual fury x's...

Also, may want to update your OP with the resolution.

This one I found seems like best of all worlds. I might wait for this to go on a better deal as I have Nvidia and already have a regular 2K monitor

      S2417dg
      S2716dg

Both good for their perspective prices. But look around. I personally found a new in box asus pg278QR for 550 yesterday at a pawn shop of all places :o. Now to unload my almost new s2417dg

As the above post mentions I believe the S2417DG is the best bang for your buck getting a bit higher resolution (although at 24"....not arguably the best). The kicker is the included G-Sync which has a $100 premium over FreeSync and for good reason. Also keep in mind FreeSync is for use with AMD graphics cards and G-Sync is exclusive to Nvidia graphics cards.

To the OP, this is a decent deal for the right person with an AMD card that can run at 240hz though, I have the Predator 24" 144hz(180hz OC) with G-sync and I'll never go back to anything less than 144hz.

      Cheers.

depends on what you need it for. Browsing /editing/ movies/ non shooter gaming the 1440p. If you are playing FPS and any twitch style games the 240hz

The difference from 144hz-240hz is a lot harder to distinguish over the jump from 60hz to 144hz. Considering you have an Nvidia card I would much rather have the benefits of the gsync over the increase to 240hz even if you do play FPS. I play FPS and having no tearing/frame loss is way more beneficial then running at 240hz(aka 240fps). So, in my opinion you should opt for the s2716dg to use the extra screen space and the 1440p with G-Sync.

      Cheers.

PS: Mahawka, I hope he is gaming with a card like that and not just browsing the web. ;)
