    • It's been on sale since February 14 and posted already (WM has it for this price & ppl were doing it PM with BB, before they lowered the price a few days ago). I think the $49.99 will become the new regular price, since anyone who wanted to buy it at $79.99 price point, has already done so. Once $49.99 becomes regular price, I expect this to go on sale May-June for $29.99. It will possibly be $19.99 by Black Friday or Christmas. RDR2 is not GTAV, which held its value for +2 to 3 years. Not too sure how big the market is for cowboy simulator games. I'll pass.

I could see $29.99 for Christmas, but not $20 lol

    • Bought played copy on Kijiji for $30 yesterday. Lots of people selling expecting $50 or $60. I am new to PS4 but the games seem to drop in value fast except for a few titles. And they come on sale faster. Also got titles from late 2017 on Kijiji for $10 each.

    • IMHO, game price drops fast because of F2P battle royal games...

    • I just started playing it right now and I can only play in short bursts before I get bored and I want do something else.

I am going stick with it. But in my opinion, it is too realistic with certain aspects of the game.

That has been the feel for many players, it seems (check the video game discussion thread on RDR2). If you have a backlog, I'd say wait. I'm towards the end of Witcher 3, and the game is amazing.

They've been dropping long before those gimmicky battle royale games ever came out.

You could make an argument that such games make their price drop accelerate, though. Not something I personally believe though. They drop because there's too many games out there and they want to still get people to buy their game while it's relevant.

Lol, I'm playing the Witcher 3 right now too. I picked up the complete edition from Amazon for $20 back in December.

I'm also playing the Witcher 3 since it's on sale right now for C$16.79 on PC in gog.com. RDR2 however I won't play because I can't justify buying a console just for a game.

I have a custom PC as well. However, I mostly have my PS4 for the exclusives like HZD, Last of Us 2, Spiderman, God of War etc.

    • The Witcher 3 is the best open world game I have ever played, the world is big enough to keep you interested but not too big where exploring becomes a chore (Assassin’s Creed Odyssey).

I wasn’t a fan of RDR2 even though I loved the first one. I too found it too realistic.

    • Messaged so many people on kijiji for an offer of 40 dollars, all replied with a 'no'. I even linked 49 dollars from all major retailers to prove a point but denied.
Kjiji sellers preying on the unaware hoping to recoup their initial 80 dollars. Lol.

    • My two cents; I think RDR2 drops faster than GTAV because the multiplayer isn't really great at the moment and the multiplayer market is quite more fierce than a few years ago. Moreover, plenty of people finished the game so it starting to be sold on Kijiji and stuff so they want to cash in fast before the market is flooded with used copies.

Yup, that's when I picked up too. The game had my curiosity, but the unicorn scene got my attention. LOL 😂

I bought it used for $39.99 and wonder if I should have held out.

    • Guess I'll wait until this deal expires to sell my copy on Kijiji. 🤔

I put a lot of hours into this one, and it's quite good... but damn is there a lot of horseback riding. Probably could have saved myself 10 hours with a more efficient quick travel system. 😬

    • EBGames had a +50% bonus trade in event last week, where they were giving $49.50 credit for RDR2 ($33 base + $16.50 bonus). They will likely offer this again soon.

Nah, I paid full price for it (92$) and I don't regret anything, it's realllllllly a GOTY game. It will be difficult to beat that in the next few years imo. It's just not the GTA5 multiplayer step 2.
