    • how do you like it? I'm looking for a waterproof bluetooth speaker and was considering the JBL Charge but the price is better on this one. How's the sound?

I like it a lot, I was leaning towards the JBL Flip 4 because I wanted something that fits in a Cup Holder (I use it mainly when golfing)

A co-worker had one, and the "360-degree" sound is what sold me on the UE instead

    • I got my boom2 last year on Black Friday for $110. Seems to go down to that price every few months. Also in hindsite I would prob wait and buy a good quality portable SMART speaker once they start coming out. It would be more functional then just a Bluetooth speaker.

    • How is this different from the other UE boom 2. Is this the largest of the UE series. I was looking at the sony model

    • For bluetooth + waterproof and soundwise, you can't beat Fugoo.com speakers. I have the Sport.

    • This is not the biggest model. That's the UE Megaboom. Also I think this model doesn't come with a charger, just cable.

Sorry can't help with that. I have the UE Mini boom and UE Mega boom (got it for $199 at BB a few months ago). Both great speakers so I assume the Boom 2 will be good as well.

There's also the fun of throwing it into a pool and watching people freak out :)

I bought both this and the Charge not long ago. I like the Charge better, so I returned the Boom 2.
That said, when I bought them, they were the same price (maybe $20 difference?). At this price, I think the Boom 2 is a better buy honestly.

Had the choice between the UE Boom 2 and the JBL Charge 3 early January at these same prices. Ended up choosing the JBL Charge 3 because it got slightly better reviews. Very happy with it. Likely can't go wrong with either

    • i picked one up and am playing around with it now. Connected really easily. The sound is really nice, I'm pretty impressed. Even at almost max volume, there's not really any distortion. What I like is you stand UE up so it takes up less space if you're using in the kitchen for example. The JBL looks to be better suited to be horizontal. I'll charge it up and see how long the battery lasts, but very happy with it for now. thanks for the feedback all

I've owned the ueboom 2 for a year now. The only con is the lacking bass, but no distortion at max volume. If portability is what you're looking for $100 is a decent deal.

I also have the Sony xb40, it is bigger and pricier but has a much fuller sound, which I use to fill up a gym no problem. The Ueboom 2 was unable to fill up gym and it sounded tinny (no bass). You can check it out at Bestbuy on demo. I Bought it on Ebay refurb for $125, the unit looked new as some of the accessories were still sealed. They accidentally sent me a European plug and refunded me $30.: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Sony-XB40-Porta ... SwfQxaoVaS
