Those are from another company. Better to go with these, Tile is a more established company and has features (community find) others don't have. Also less likely to become defunct.

    • I got 2 young kids who will be walking to school soon and I watch too much true crime. Always wanted something I could sew into their shoes if they ever got grabbed. Be neat if they worked on a cell or gps network.

The Dollar store tracker works pretty well for $4. It also has a community find feature, though less people probably have the app installed compared to the Tile, making it less likely your stolen property would "ping".

    • I wish there is an option to select which phone to ring when you press on the tile button. It rings my iPad when I'm looking for my phone :(

I don't have experience with the dollar store tracker, but the Tile Pro has a long range. The app can show you how close you are from the tracker to help you see whether the direction you are going is further away from the tracker.

    • Is this version to thick for a wallet?

I don't really use their ring button for my phone as it never work well for me. However, the google "find your phone" and Samsung "find my mobile" worked very well for me.

    • Here's a neat trick that I find works really well to prevent "lost" keys and wallets. Put your keys and wallet in the same places, every single time. Then you always know exactly where they are.

If you have a thin wallet (without coins or photos compartment), it could be too thick. However, I have been putting it inside my regular men's wallet and it worked fine for me.

Which one to get? Is there any added benefit to the pro besides the extra 200ft range and a bit louder ring?
I see myself using these for finding lost phones and wallets within the house so the above doesn't really apply.

Here's a better trick to find anything.

When you're looking for something like your wallet or glasses out when you do eventually find them put them in the first place you looked, not back where you found them.

Unfortunately to power GPS and/or LTE it would need more power resulting in something a little bigger, that is unless you have a connection to military level equipment for some next level trackers that cost more than a typical Toronto house your best bet is a smartphone or watch with LTE and GPS on with any number of family tracking apps.
