    • The only product I'm really interested in seeing is an Air with a retina screen.

I'm predicting the Air will be discontinued. However, they may release a 13" MacBook.

I think the "Air" moniker is very valuable to Apple and I predict they'll continue to use it in association with a replacement model. I hope we are both correct:)

They already got rid of the "Air" moniker on the iPads. Now they just have iPads and iPad Pros.

You are right. I am using an air 2 from two years ago and haven't followed Apple's iPad offerings since then.

Regardless of what they call the replacement, I'll get one if the SSD is not soldered to the logic board but I'm not hopeful.

Having the RAM soldered is bad enough, but the SSD?

I have been looking for a light weight MacBook for travelling for 6 members of my family - they find their MacBook pros too heavy for longer trips, and every Mac that is suitable from a weight point of view seems to have a soldered SSD.
What the heck is Apple thinking?

If you're talking iPads, I can't see them EVER making an iPad with a removable storage device, so you might as well give up that idea now. Do you know of ANY manufacturer making tablets that meet that criteria?

If you're talking MacBooks, then may someday...

    • the big rumoured updates that have been talked about for over a year now is

iPad Pro will have Face ID. The CRAZY rumour is that the iPad Pro will have a thunderbolt - C port instead of lightning. Rumour is based on the speculative specs of the iPad.

The Air or MacBook (12") are going to have a Retina display now going forward.

The rumours that are probably not going to be true yet:

32GB of ram in the MacBook Pro retina.... After the last refresh of the MacBook pros it was reported that apple can't figure out how to make 32GB possible in the current design without overheating issues.

People also expect the Mac Pro to be revealed or at least for apple to mention it.

Mac mini is suppose to see an update as well as Apple said they still consider the Mini "important"
