View allAnd today, I received another SMS thanking me for my recent purchase with Apple and advising me to reply for $30 cashback. Again they reference my full name and correct postal code on the message...
Has anyone experienced this? It feels like some of my info has been compromised, the timing of my order/shipment with Apple, my postal code, my name. I'm trying to understand where... checked my email and no unusual logins or activity. 2FA enlabled. So it's between Apple and UPS.
I'm used to the scammer SMS messages but usually generic and not with specific details that check out....
I got my base and bonus points from other retailers but not yet for my Apple purchases.
I guess I will see if they adjust anything over the next few days
$1,000 - $200 = $800 which is what I was charged.
And then a separate transaction for the gift card they sent of $200...
How does your transaction look?
It should be:
([Item Cost] - [Gift Card Amount for Black Friday]) + [Gift Card Amount - this you will get]
So example if your item is $1000 and comes with a $200 gift card it would be:
($1000 -$200) + $200 (which will be emailed to you when item ships)
from https://www.apple.com/ca/shop/gifts/sho ... conditions
The T&C seems to permit the refund of both.
For example, I bought Airpods Pro 2. They charged me 297,79$ (regular price of 329$ minus 70$ + tx)
+ they charged 70$ as a second transaction...
The good thing of doing it that way is that basically the taxes are charged on the discounted price...
It says you can re-issue it from your order status page -
