He's a RFD staff writer, likely Amazon paid RFD/VerticalScope to put a resource on this.

I paid 38.99 for one at Costco a couple months ago. It's not half bad of a price.

Do need it now or not? if you don't need it now, then wait til black friday, costco and other retailers will have something under $40, if you need it now, you will be hard to find a better deal

Honestly not sure if the other people here commenting on the 256GB SD are buying a U3 rated one for cheaper... but at $42.99 it's not bad.

I'm debating picking up a second one (have 1 already) myself, but the price is one where it makes me think but not pull the trigger.

If it was < $35 I'd have bought instantly.

EDIT: checked my order history, I bought this: https://www.amazon.ca/Samsung-MicroSDXC ... 072HRDM55/ [Samsung EVO Select 256GB microSDXC UHS-I U3 Memory Card with Adapter (MB-ME256GA/AM) [Amazon Exclusive]] when it was $39.99.. + had $3.50 courtesy credit. Based on amazon-ca-micro-sd-deal-dead-check-agai ... 9-2336737/ last year. So I guess without credit, it's only $3 more expensive... worth a buy unless you're stingy about $3.

I am considering getting a few from Amazon US and ship it to Canada via Crossborderpickups or something. Need a few for home assistant displays

Basically this. They send a very long spreadsheet of Prime Day deals and let us prep content in advance as long as we pinky swear not to break their embargo
