    • Do not buy this game at any cost! The "full" version is just a front for its "Unlimited" monthly subscription. You constantly get harassed to join their unlimited, you're served ads for it throughout the game. The all access songs are mixed with the regular ones on some screens. There's no way to remove this.

To make matters worst, even though you've bought the game, the songs sometimes simply don't load and causes the game to crash. I think it hits Ubi's servers each time. Sometimes, the backgrounds of the songs look super blurry which I assume happens because they stream some of the songs that are on the disk?

Avoid. This game should be free.

    • Couldn't agree more. I've bought these for years for the kids and it's just such a gimmick to get stuck with a dozen garbage songs and have to pay the ridiculous subscription price to enjoy the full game. It's not worth it unless the game is 15 bucks and you just have it to burn around for a weekend with. Even 15 it becomes a coaster shortly after.

Crap is this the case with JD2020? I bought that as a gift for some kids... Or is 2021 worse?

    • Unfortunately, their business model is based on the subscription, I bought the game for the switch for 29.99 and when we decide to play we buy a 1 month pass. We'll pick it up during the holiday season for some change of pace but without the Subscription you get a very limited number of songs.

My kids have loved these games. But over the past 2-3 years its definitely gotten worse, including JD2020.

I usually buy it when its on sale close to Christmas as a stocking stuffer for them, but I think this year I'm going to pass.

I was considering getting this for my kids but think I'll just pay $30ish for the year subscription service. JD2020 is good enough for what my kids do, as this JD2021 doesn't really seem to be much of an upgrade.

    • I think the cost comes from licensing the music each year, but if you already have a previous year's Just Dance, I think buying a subscription is more worth it than buying a new version of the game every year.

I'm just waiting for a sale on the digital version, so I don't have to switch games every time I want to do some exercise...

    • Me and my daughter ( 4 year old) love this game so much!! But I have JD 2019 (which is got for 10$ disc copy) and the all access pass something like 40$ a year !! To me it's worth every penny but just my opinion plus at that age my daughter is not picky about the content

    • sounds like every other game to me, release a half baked version, patch it for the next couple months, release DLC that you need to buy or else you're irrelevant and cant play with friends... that's about how things work these days..

the same people complaining about $40 a YEAR for unlimited entertainment, will pay $20 for a 2 hour movie at the theater....

    • This will be $20 on boxing day just like every other iteration of this game in it's year of release. Maybe even just before Xmas too

    • Honestly my kids have more fun watching the videos on Youtube and dancing to them, than actually putting the game on.

    • For those that have experience. What's the best tracking mechanics to make playing enjoyable? I use to have xbox and kinect but have since traded it in for PS5.

How is holding a phone, joycon vs PS camera?

      thanks.

You would have a problem if your 20$ to watch a 2h movie was only to watch the movie, but you'd have to pay more to have a seat, and then more cash to be able to hear the sound, and maybe a little bit more to also turn off the lights.

      5 STARS
      WOW
      EXCELLENT
      HIGH SCORE

So misleading to their true abilities......but keeps your wallet safe.

Terrible that they are milking the cash cow. Just feels scammy when they could just sell it for more and include everything.

its 2 hours, compared to unlimited for an entire year... you don't see the excessive disparity in value? the game could be $100,000 and its still more entertainment value than a movie. (not to mention health benefits of getting you off your ass..)

    • I paid for the one year subscription to unlimited. I think that's around $35.

It just allows you to access songs from the previous titles, meaning of you have 2020 version, you'll get songs only prior to that. You won't get the new 2021 songs.

Obviously you'd have to get the 2021 for the full song list. $40 is a bit much for just one set of songs, so I'll wait it out more to like $20-30

Maybe you can use the $100k for popcorn
