      eBay / Newegg Canada

WD My Book 8TB USB 3.0 Desktop Hard Drive WDBBGB0080HBK-NESN Black
      8TB is $189.99

Costco is cheaper. Not by too much though. I would go for the ebay one if there was even more of a discount (e.g. coupon/airmiles/ebay bucks/etc..) But $190 is average price lately.

      190 / 8 = 23.75
      140 / 6 = 23.33

Oh, sorry, it's copied from another previous RFD post. I didn't notice the links are broken. They are now fixed.

    • the 8 TB WD from Newegg Ebay store is still a better deal per TB in price after taxes for those in Quebec

      $24.9375 (8TB Newegg) vs $27.9061 / $26.9463 6 TB Costco online/Costco in store

    • Just a reminder.. The 6tb are blue label drive and the 8tb are white label drive (rebranded red).

You can't remove the intelipark on the blue drive. (the head of the drive park itself after 8sec of inactivity which crank up the drive acces considerably)

    • I need 2 drives for a new NAS setup (RAID 1) . can i shuck these and use them as NAS drives? or do you recommend the 8TB White label?

    • 8TB...! Wow, I just bought a 4TB for 100$ last week. Those HDDs prices are going downhill fast, I wonder if they'll stop producing them for consumers at ~16TB. At this point, SSD prices will be on par.

    • Best Buy priced matched Amazon.ca which has the 8TB for $189. Been a few hours since I last checked Amazon price but that is what I showed them. Much easier I find dealing with BB than Amazon and will always use their prices against them whenever possible.
