Originally released in May 2019, the Google Nest Hub is a smart home display with a 7" touchscreen, which allows you to use your voice to summon the Google Assistant to play music, control smart devices, get answers to obscure questions and see relevant information on-screen.

All four colours are available for $99.99 and for comparison, the same product is currently $153.00 at The Home Depot. A few other features include:

  • 7" landscape touchscreen with 1024x600 resolution so your YouTube tutorials and video calls will be bright and sharp
  • Voice match brings up your personal calendar, commute, reminders and more on-screen to keep you organized everyday
  • Ask a question and receive immersive, visual answers from Google on anything from recipes to the weather
  • Catch up on recent news, add an item to your shopping list or call a friend -- all hands free
  • Voice-control compatible lights, cameras, TVs and more from a single dashboard
  • Compatible with Nest and over 5000 smart devices from over 400 brands

This deal is effective online until June 1 and qualifies for free home shipping or Best Buy store-front pick-up (where available).

    • Price mistake? I am waiting for the second gen to come down in price, I want that duo feature.

    • I really like this thing, but at the same time I hate it. The numbers of misrecognitions and weird bugs I've had lately is really making me mad.

No, it was $89 last year and could get for $79 with Lowes email shup coupon. Or even cheaper with $25 Staples coupon

What's the major difference between Gen 2 vs original. I bought mine last year. I didn't know Gen 2 is out.

If it is, Staples is making the same price mistake.

Google Nest Hub already supports this feature.

Duo calls are available on the following devices in all countries and languages where sold:
Displays: Google Nest Hub and Google Nest Hub Max
Speakers: Google Home, Google Nest Mini, Google Home Mini, Google Home Max, Google Nest Wifi point

I don't understand what he means too. Probably he is hoping a 2nd gen will come out with a cam to be used for Duo video calling. Original Google Home v2 seems to be imminent going by the fire sale kind happening in US for $29.

    • The speaker on this is worse then the mini, so I was pretty disappointed by it.

I don't think this is v2. I believe Google Home only had one version so far.

What I meant is, Google Home v2 might be coming soon as the original home is sold at $29 in US and out of stock almost everywhere in US.

Yes I was thinking that as well after I reread your message. Let's see what's in the store

    • Favorite feature is projecting your Google Photos on it.
But since the last update, the ambient sensor doesn't work...

I had a similar problem with my Lenovo Smart Display. Power cycling it didn't work. I thought the hardware might have been defective. Finally, I did a full factory reset and it started working again. You could give that a try.

Yeah I wouldn't buy this if music playback is important, I have the 8" Lenovo which does the job, more comparable to Home standard.

Edit: Nevermind, after placing the order I read the fine print and it says they will charge the $69 if I cancel anytime prior to 6months. So i guess it doesn't matter when you cancel as long as its before the next payment date.
Thanks for pointing that out. You saved me reading... I am thinking Home Depot + PM may be the best deal if possible.

...Also FYI in case no one else noticed, it's $99.99 on Google's site too.

    • Is anyone having trouble playing music on spotify on the home? I'll ask it to play a song on and it'll tell me to try again later. I'll try to play the same song in the spotify app on my phone and it works. I can even cast it to it.
