    • This is gonna be the first $2000 CDN phone.

    • With how phone sales (including the S20) have been due to COVID-19, I actually wonder if Samsung might surprise us and release the Note 20+ at the same price as the current S20 Ultra (and announce a price cut for the S20 range at the same time).

I have a feeling this pandemic might see the cost of premium flagships start to slowly drop.

    • I'm done with buying the latest, especially the lost I took selling the Note 10+.

The S20 Ultra was wake up call, where I almost bought while in the Philippines but my pre-order got cancelled. WTF am doing dropping $2k on a phone.

Agreed. My S20+ is certainly not worth $1600! Now that reports are saying the S20 Ultra's auto focus issues may not be able to be fully resolved via software, it's even more incentive to not spend the crazy amounts of money these companies are charging.

Apple has it right these days (something I never thought I'd say). Yeah, the Pro & Pro Max are pricey, but when Samsung actually charges MORE for the Ultra and messes up on the main selling point (the camera), you know there's issues.

Problem is, the Note would already be developed quite a bit, so it's hard to say how much better it could be than the S20 Ultra.

I think we've plateaued on smartphone technology just like cameras.

It's likely better to wait for affordable foldable phones.

    • The Note20+ better not be insanely priced like the S20 Ultra, or Samsung risks losing their foothold in the smartphone market.

Really? Their flagships aren't their biggest-selling phones to begin with!

Maybe that would’ve been true only if Huawei and other Chinese manufacturers like OnePlus and Xiaomi weren’t beginning to eat up Samsung’s pie so hard worldwide for flagships. Samsung still has the #1 Android premium flagship manufacturer spot and #1 worldwide phone manufacturer by sales spot. With increasing competition there’s literally no reason for Samsung to not stay competitive.

Midrange is their bread-and-butter. Their A series is great, especially if you can get them at a discount like with SPC at 20% off, which brings the A71 for less than $500! How can I not take advantage of it. I've owned several A series in the past and aside from not handling Asphalt 9 (their A71 does) which I understand, I love it and feel like I'm done with their flagships.

If I am not a student and sign up for SPC, can I get the A71 for that price? I assume not as I assume I have to prove that I am a student

If you order it online, you don't need to provide any proof to Samsung.
