View allSome android glitches here and there but nothing major. Build quality is superb.
A collegue of mine, a die-hard iphone fan, was impressed with the camera compared to iphone X, especially at $200 range.

Yup, noob here too. A pointer or link to the correct files would also be appreciated. First foray in droid world.........................stumbling along.....
But when I look at the specs:
Zenphone 4 1080 x 1920 pixels, 3300 mAh Vs Moto G7 Power 720 x 1570 pixels, 5000 mAh.
Moto G7 obviously has the Power
This is a reply to the above post.
Anyone find a decent screen protector?
Thanks!
Anyone else try it!
An example, my Moto G6 play camera is quite a bit better then my Nexus 4 camera (5 years has led to better sensors). But its low light photos are not so great, even reviewers have repeatedly said this. The flash on the G6 play is maybe half the brightness of the Nexus 4 which is probably why the newer phone takes good daylight pics but poor low light pics.
The G6 camera is far better then the Zenfone, especially if you use GCam.
I'd love to get a G7 Thinq or G8 but so far they remain unaffordable.
My G6 still works fine except for battery and that is mitigated with using a power bank when I travel. Otherwise I can't think of one flaw. There's a lot of hate for LG phones on RFD but my experience has been positive.
I just want a camera that is slightly better than the G6 in low light especially. And macro.
For anyone interested the Android Pie 9.0 Beta update is available from the Asus site. https://www.asus.com/Phone/ZenFone-4-ZE ... Desk_BIOS/
As it's Beta it's not yet available OTA. I want to learn a little more about user experiences with it before I give it a try. Anyone else have any feedback ?
Thanks OP! Lucky to get in on this - my phone was really getting to be a pain!
NFC is available on the phone. I tried setting it up but me CC provider does not support it.
Nice screen, fast, pictures seem good, GPS is fast to lock on satellites.
I'm coming from a Moto G Play, so pretty nice upgrade. I'd say for 200$ it's a really nice phone.
My one negative with the Zenfone is the speaker audio quality which is not great, even with equalizer adjustments. Also, the volume is quite low.
Any others have any comments ? Thanks !
1. Runs on Freedom no problem, shows as 4G, no LTE badge... its same thing anyways.
2. Antutu benchmark 88,000~
3. Had problem installing updates, updater was crashing. Self-fixed, god knows ... maybe server-side errors.
Overall: Solid phone for $200.
Congrats!
Are you able to confirm whether this phone supports 5GHz as well as 2.4GHz wifi? I have the Zenfone 3 which does not have 5GHz.
Also, does the NFC work properly on the Zenfone 4?
Thanks!
How can anyone justify dealing with these crooks

Might take a month or two to get here from China!
Got my phone today, will start setting it up.
Delightful. Now I guess I gotta return this case to Amazon.
Wow they suck a lot. I called them. They cancelled it because I used my work address to ship to like I do for everything and now there's no stock. What the hell is this even
