    • It is for Ontario

In Quebec, theatres and cinemas will have to limit their capacity to 50 per cent starting Monday.

    • "Under the new guidelines, food and drinks will not be allowed to be served in movie theaters and due to reduced seating requirements"

You'll be wearing a mask for full movie.

    • If Cineplex thinks I'm bringing my kid with 4000 cases in Ontario, they got another thing coming. Poor timing unfortunately.
I saw a movie a couple of weeks ago

    • Glad I did spidey Friday. Bag of pcorn is the golden goose now. Stay safe. Your health is not worth a movie.

      Or blowing up your xmas.

I don't buy concessions when I watch a movie. I make sure I have my lunch or dinner before going. Besides, it was getting ridiculous in Ontario regarding how they had packed movie theaters for Spidey (no social distancing). If they spread people out, then it will still be worth going. I have two tickets for any IMAX, dbox, etc. which will expire on Jan 2022 so I would like to use it. As for these $2.99 movies, I took the kids 5-6 years ago and it entertained them. I still remember classics like Indian and Cupboard which was great. And how many spy kids movies did we watch (all).

    • I just went yesterday to see NWH in Ontario and they said "we will be doing spot checks, anyone found eating / drinking will be kicked out" but otherwise there was no distancing. Also, not much time to go during the movie anyway...

    • Glad this is coming back! Went to the movies over the weekend for the first time since COVID was a thing. Really clean, safe, kid and I had a great time. Looking forward to more movies.

If you have an expired ticket, speak with the theater manager. Some allow expired tickets, due to special circumstances (e.g. COVID, theater closed etc). Usually the manager must be there to do the override on the seat purchase.

My son and I used the tickets for Spidey the week after it came out. It was DBOX. Cineplex needs to make the experience similar to how they simulate at Universal Studio rides. After a while, the shaking and moving feels the same.

These are the same arguments i had pre covid lol, no i don't want to go to a packed movie theatre where i have to sit elbow to elbow with a stranger. I also don't want strangers closer than 6 feet and spitting into my face covid or not. But yeah that's why i usually don't go to movies on opening weekend.
