      Songs are equal, but Amazon is missing podcasts and the app isn't as good as Spotify.

      I can control my PC Spotify with my phone.

      Logged into my account and it says 3 months free. Prime member though and never had the Premium service before. Don't listen to much music and I don't think this works with my Google devices anyway...

    • i tried the prime music that comes with the primer membership. sound quality is not good even vs spotify so i didn't bother using it. i got this spotify that paid 2 bucks worked for a year now. which supposed to be 9 months. i think the ebay seller died or something. oh well keep using it : )

      if you have better equipment like any wifi android hi res portable, get tidal is best. spotify comes close even with their compressed music. daily now working at home i spend a few hours using old fiio x7 + hd800s or LCD-XC. no complaint with the sound at all vs more expensive desktop set up.

      It was never 3.99. Amazon music on echo is 3.99. same catalog as 7.99 version, but will only play from echo devices.

      Prime music is free and included with prime membership. Music unlimited is a tier above this. It is usually 7.99$/month. But if you want to exclusively play from an Echo speaker, then you can have it for 3.99$/month.
      But you will need to voice order it through your Echo speaker as well. There is no option to signup for this 3.99$ thing from either web or Amazon phone app.

      $3.99 is still there for one amazon echo. $7.99 is for all devices.
