this offer is expired

Get some pocket change by streaming a show at Amazon.ca, because you can get a $10.00 credit when you stream anything on Prime Video for the first time!

This offer is only available to first-time Prime Video users. Prime Video is a streaming service included with all Amazon Prime memberships (including 30-day free trials) with titles including Parks and Recreation, 30 Rock and Amazon-exclusive programs like Jack Ryan, The Grand Tour and The Tick.

To get started, simply log into Prime Video with your Amazon credentials, then stream any movie or TV episode. Trailers and other bonus content do not qualify as a first stream. There is no mention of how long you have to stream, but there's no harm in streaming one (or several) episodes of Parks and Recreation just to be safe.

Once complete, you'll get an email within four business days to confirm your $10.00 Amazon.ca credit. The credit itself is valid on orders of $20.00 or more at Amazon.ca and expires July 27.

Easy peasy, lemon squeezy. This offer is available until July 18 at 2:59 AM ET. All Prime members who have never used Prime Video are eligible for this deal, except those on a Prime Student trial membership.

Not an Amazon Prime member? Read our guide to see what it has to offer and find out if it's right for you.

If you've never streamed Prime Video before, you'll get a $10.00 Amazon.ca credit when you stream anything for the first time. The credit itself is valid for orders of $20.00 or more.

      1. Sign into your Amazon account on PrimeVideo.com or through the Prime Video app
      2. Stream any movie or any episode of a TV series. Watching a trailer or other bonus content will not apply as a first stream
      3. A $10.00 credit will be applied directly to your account within 3-4 days

Prime Video is included with all Prime memberships, including 30-day trials, but Prime Student members aren't eligible.

    • I hope this works for me, I got prime the other week and streamed a video for 2 minutes to test it. Would suck if that disqualified me from the $10 credit.

If anyone is looking for something to stream, check out The Man in the High Castle series, or a short Jean Claude Van Damme series (6 30 min eps) that's actually pretty good called Jean Claude Van Johnson.

I tried it a few months ago and was extremely disappointed that the vast majority of the good content (TV or film) was Amazon.com exclusive - I think I had logged in from my TV and it defaulted to Amazon.com or something. I remember seeing a bunch of HBO shows and getting so excited, only to have my massive balloon of hype popped unceremoniously.

The best movie that I could stream was Men In Black.

    • I liked the new Blue Beetle series... that's the only thing I've watched on Prime VIdeo so far... Netflix is my main content provider so far

you should check .ca video now, not too bad at all....also, in amazon.com, when you see the hbo shows for example, it may not mean you have access to hbo shows anyway, i believe you have buy a hbo package to see the shows.

I'll check it out tonight! I would like to use Prime over Netflix so I don't have to pay for both, and only one of them gives me express shipping on items...

    • I don't think it's better than Netflix, but I do see that Amazon.ca Prime does have a decent collection of tv shows & films.

      From what I can see.

Goliath, The Man In the High Castle, American Gods, The Marvelous Mrs Maisel, Hand of God

Mr. Robot, Fear of the Walking Dead, Preacher, Justified, Community, 30 Rock, Heroes (ended horribly however), House, 3rd Rock from the Sun, Shameless (uk version), The Path, Rescue Me

Among various investigative shows like Masterminds

Decent collection of older films, just looked up sci-fi stuff for example:

Minority Report, Gattaca, Children of Men, Pitch Black, The Man From Earth, The Triangle, Galaxy Quest

Well if it's like Amazon Prime, I could cancel it after the first free month instead of paying for the whole year just to have a free month.

Trying to build awareness before the inevitable billion dollar LOTR series launches. Bezos wants so badly to have the next 'Game of Thrones' ... tied into Prime subscriptions internationally.
